virtual GNER driver
hi as some of you may know im attempting to make a low poly ECML route. after spending most of the day (after finishing setting up the route in transDEM) laying track, smoothing out the area to lay the track, work out the correct (as near as i can get) level to lay the track, add tunnles as close to the map route as possiable, alot of it is guessing (levels). but to cut a long story short iv only made it to Finsbury Park station from kings cross, the layout iv got planned is kings cross to stevenage, just a small section of the ECML but still looks like it is going to take me a while (at this rate)
so i am putting this out to anyone who wishes to help, PM me with your information and ill get back to you.
the mission statement is:
if you can meet the system requirment's and wish to help then add wither PM me or post a comment on this thread and ill get back to you.
if more than 6 of you (id jump around my house for hours if this happens and eat my hat on webcam for you all) then we will cut down the longer sections
so i am putting this out to anyone who wishes to help, PM me with your information and ill get back to you.
the mission statement is:
if i think of any other info for route building ill let people wishing to help know.
- to make a full scale route of the ECML, following the GNER route.
- make the route as low poly as can be
- another trainz user has offered to make a simple low poly buildings (12) that can be re-skined using simple stuff like paint or similer software (i have to check this with the user)
- only use low poly buildings off DLS (ill supply a list)
- using TRS2004 3rd party UK concrete track (the built in one)
- stock euro tunnle for ALL tunnles (single and twin track)
- UK over head wire
- passanger enabled stations
- non-animated motor junction points
- only putting buildings so they are vissable from the cab or close panning of loco's
the plan:
the sections:
- to build the ECML in sections (so we can have a breake from route building between sections for running the section and other tranz things etc)
- each person will make a different section of the route then as people finish their route they send it to all other
these are the sections for now, some are longer than others and some require a higher skill that others, if you wish to help then PM me tell me what section you want and ill send you more information (and put your name next to the section)
- kings cross - stevenage (sounds short, but has lots of stations and also includes the hertford loop, and require a high skill for the track work)
- stevenage - peterborough [boy_hennah1989]
- peterborough - doncaster
- doncaster - york
- york - newcastle
- newcastle - glasgow
ok now a few software requirements
- TRS2004 final build
- trainsDEM
- google earth
