The good thing is Bachman has lifetime warranty on all their trains, although somehow noone ever seems to find in the papers that come with the trains. All you have to do is send it in and they will repair it for you or if it is unrepairable they replace it free. All you have to do is pay for shipping. Thats what is so great about Bachman. I know this for a fact because my dad sent in an engine after I screwed it up when I was younger. And most recently I was running my Grandpa's G scale 2-6-0, when the gear slipped and it didn't work. We sent it in and they fixed it. It certainly beats going to the local hobby store.
