My Health

This is very sad news. He will be rembered. Its always sad to lose a forum member, but to lose one forever, is just, just, its really sad. I have no words to describe my feelings for this loss. Though I hardly knew him, Im crying (and Im in school right now) and I feel bad about this, because we are all a family here. May his memory be eternal.

I'm very, very sorry to hear this. Joe showed great courage in trying to face down this illness and was a much respected member of this community. He will be much missed.

My condolences to family and friends.

Remember the good times and happy moments, the rest will fade like the morning fog.

Please send my condolences and wishes to his family. I am sad to hear of his passing. He was a brave man to have fought this battle.

Very sad news, indeed.

Yes a very sad end to the fight and perhaps in the harshness of sorrow for his family that he went in his sleep.

Newsletter quote

For those who do not receive the newsletter (or did not receive it yet), this is the text in it related to this (now very sad) topic:

N3V (Trainz Community Newsletter 3rd October‏) said:
In Memoriam: Joe Thompson - Joe_T (1977-2013)
It is with sad news that N3V Games announces the passing of Joe Thompson, known among the community as Joe_T (or Louise_T). Joe had been involved with the Trainz community since the very early days of Trainz, and showcased Trainz at many 'Trainz On The Road' stands at model railway exhibitions.

Joe is an inspiration, even though he had a difficult battle, he kept on highballing to the end of the line. Thanks you so much and, maybe I will have a surprise for ya guys before I finish my CSX YN2 GEVo. Hint hint.

I'd just like to add my name to the tributes and condolence list. It was very inspiring to see the way Joe changed his mind and decided to fight rather than just give in: something we should surely all remember when we're faced with far lesser tribulations.

R.I.P.

Rest in peace Joe. The Trainz community will never forget you. He is brave man who fought out leukemia cancer. I was a little aware of the situation until I just got me email of his passing. And I know how that had felt to me.

RIP 1971-2013

I didn't personally have much involvement with Joe, but the loss of any member is a sad time - condolences for those left behind.
