i don't see how this will 'break' or 'trash' or 'hack' anything. nothing will be made unusable...

It does though, and that's a fact.

I am perfectly happy to accept that it is simply sloppily written and poorly tested script (and as a first solo effort that is perfectly understandable). That it may simply be poorly tested would support your statement that you are unaware that the asset in question breaks third party content.

My understanding of DLS policy is that an asset may not (whether by intent or by accident) break existing content. This new asset does exactly that. The real mistake in the way it is implemnted though is that it not only breaks 3rd Party Content in a way that could easily be mis-construed as deliberately targetted, it also breaks previous revisions of the 'faulty' asset in such a way that the previous revisions remain 'broken' if the newer revision is deleted, so there is no 'going back'. I doubt whether anyone would be silly enough to launch a deliberate attack using the DLS 'Update Asset' system as a delivery vehicle - the resultant bans would surely be lengthy if not permenant - so I conclude that it is all simply a terrible mistake.

It does need fixed though....

Good Morning All
As we've stated a few times, we will not permit attacks against other members on our forums. If you have an issue with a member's content, then please contact them.

In the case of the content in question, this will be investigated, albeit for different reasons to those expressed here.

We do not have any control at all over content hosted on 3rd party websites, and the content that was uploaded to the DLS is error free. Unless it is specifically breaking an asset that is already on the DLS, we cannot do much about it, as it's not impacting on content on the DLS.

@KingConrail76
Please do not mis-quote my posts. The conditions on the DLS are, essentially, that the you provide us a non exclusive commercial license (e.g. to include in a future version of Trainz), and that the asset be functional. If you intentionally break the content on the DLS, then we would need to take action to repair that content (e.g. in the situation with RRSignal's content).

Regards
