I bought My First Trainz Set today from the Auran store and I am not impressed. This game advertised several American locomotives and engines with tenders and it didn't have them. It advertised the ability to download extra content and the ability to straighten the tracks, but it didin't have them. This is my worst game I have ever bought. I stopped playing it after five minutes and uninstalled it. Don't buy it.

My local file is 58 Gb of free assets, and growing. I must have like: 2000 diesel, steam and electric locos, plus 10,000 US & Canadian railcars.

Ahh well, it will make a good gift for a relatives or friends, young kids.

This is actually a new game for little kids from Auran. You can build model railroads around rooms. This has nothing to do with this site. You bought the wrong game looks like.

You wont find the trains they use to advertise 2010 in Trainz 2010.
Its misleading advertising. I have never found them either and when I asked on the forum where to find them my question lasted a day before it was removed

Gp792, you said that you accidentally ordered it. Didn't you check the details, and see if you made any mistakes BEFORE submitting?
Having said that, Nimec is right it's misleading advertising.
Gp792 said that it advertised that it comes with certain items, and that those items weren't included. If that's the case, then it's a breach of the TPA.
The same thing happened with TS2006. TS2006 was advertised on the box with the VistaMaps included (in the actually game), yet was not included. You may be able to download the V/Maps, but that is not the point. The point is Auran advertised it on the TS2006 box. Also a breach of the TPA.

Or he saw an advertisement for one product, and then went and purchased an unrelated product. This seems more likely to me given the comments so far. However, if this is not the case and there is some actual misleading advertising, please feel free to let me know and I'll pass the complaint on to our marketing department.

Can this thread be removed? It rubbishes the new kids' version of Trainz, and will show up in internet searches, despite the fact that it was down to the thread author's own stupidity that he downloaded the wrong version of the game! Yet his criticism remains for all to see and may deter casual browsers from buying My First Trainz.
I'd like to see gp792 come back to this forum and apologise for this thread which could have damaged Auran's business.

Why? While it may be his fault for not checking and double checking his order, he & Nimec have made some valid points about misleading advertising.
Potential customers can still make up their own minds wether or not to buy the product.
Why should Gp792 have to apologise for what a company has done? And besides the company that sells this product to customers, and the retail market - (I don't think their games are manufactured in Australia) needs a bit (make that quite a lot) of criticism, as it may prompt them to improve their products.
