MSTS HELP!?

Hi!

I know this has nothing to do with Trainz, but if any of you run Microsoft Train Sim (I'm sure someone does here) can you please answer me this query. I have the Xplosiv version of the sim so will add-ons purchased on disc still work with this copy?I haven't tried any add-ons yet and I am concerned if they are easy to install from disc etc.

G'Day funkeyACE, In a word, yes, payware routes from disc have always worked "out of the box' for me. It is highly recommended that you have the latest "bin" patch installed. I have all of the UK Train Sim discs and they are great value. I have and still use MSTS and in some ways it is still better than trainz, it is a pity we could not get a big pot and throw all the best features from all of the train sims together and meld them into one really great sim.:udrool::udrool::mop:

Nah, Barrie, don't duck and cover. I must admit (in lower case) that I, also, use msts. I bought it, I ran it a lot, and created lots of routes for it. Why not run it now even though I have all these Trainz versions?

MSTS2 broke my heart when the Horseshoe Curve route was canned. It was to have every (major) rail line in the world ... and suddenly the entire MSTS2 crew & project was mothballed.

Thanks. In that case I will go full steam ahead and get the Add-ons :hehe:. Yeah we should be proud to use both sims I think.
