MSCVP_ATOMIC_WAIT.dll error

In Nov 2023 I was using TRS22 ver 173294 at TB 5.4. I use AssetX extensively for repair and upversioning of any Trainz version using my TARDIS addon, and apart from AssetX limitation since Andie Smith and PEV departed its development I had made excellent progress on TARDIS despite the usual Microsoft update balls ups.

Trainz core was on C:\ drive, but not in Program Files folder. The associated Userdata was mounted in an external Lacie 10TB HDD that I bought a year ago. Monitor was part of a TCL Android TV with additional HDMI ports. I had replaced my previous ancient computer that couldn't be updated with an ASUS PN50 Mini PC. While this only had an APU instead of a GPU it worked astonishingly well. The TARDIS DB was at 400K assets local and TAD of 701K with many custom CM filters. I was up to date on DLS DLs and quite a few DLC. I moved my computer enclave to make more free space in my one room apartment and nothing seemed to be working.

I rescued an internal 5TB HDD from my previous computer that had previously been OK and updated it as an external HDD in lieu of the Lacie, then updated an earlier version of that TARDIS and custom filters. After a hiatus of some 8 weeks I came to the conclusion that either the PN50 HDMI ports, or those on the Android TV, or the connecting cable were not working. I didn't have another monitor or a laptop, so I bit the bullet and purchased a Gigabyte M28U monitor in mid May 24. This is part of my future program updates anyway. PN50 Display port is now connected to Display Port on Gigabyte monitor. Visually a brilliant monitor but lousy internal speakers. They are 3W after all. What do you expect. I've yet to investigate the HDMI failure but suspect the Android TV as I bought a replacement HDMI cable. Still not decided on Computer replacement but favour an MSI laptop. Waiting for a version with an NPU to investigate AI.

I have finally got Trainz TRS19 Retail ver 114022 working, but any version of TRS22 in MyTrainz (Including Trainz Plus) shows the above error regardless of whether I use my existing DB or start with a fresh empty Userdata.

So where to from here?

I am able to continue testing TARDIS up to TRS19 ver 114022, but all assets above that up to TB 5.4 (some 6,600 that were previously OK), now show "incompatible" status. Oh Well! I think I'll wait for the next major Trainz release.

If you search the forum you will find links to download it.
Thanks Mate, After adding that.dll to the Trainz TRS22 folder the fault cleared.
Subsequently I did a DBR. On completion of the DBR I was presented with a login window that I completed. There was a second login window behind that and again I filled it in. This time success. I now have a TRS22 ver 173294 working. I can also access TB 5.4 assets. My DLC show installed status.

Now to catch up with DLS downloads.

Many thanks,

Ian
