MP36 Project

I know the MARC units have some kind of 5 chime horns that are something other than K5LA's. They put the horn in a box behind the pilot (F***ing idiots) so it sounds more like a GEVO's horn, which IMHO is horrible.

So maybe if I can find drawings, or something with details, I can get help, and give out help to Andrew (if he's around, I haven't heard from him in a while).

its not MARC's choice as the FRA has new rules on how loud a train horn can be

And its not a weird horn if you listen sounds just like acela its a K5LA hybrid. Im not mad on there choice of horns they sound really good. Dont hate because you have a so called bad horn just be lucky you did not get a p2.

I was riding behind an MP36 yesterday and the horn sounded very airy, like more air was coming out like a whisper than horn being blasted.

Its okay on the long blasts but the quick little double-short when pulling out of the station sounds like a weezy Metro horn, lol!

they bought too many engines since they thought they were going to have 2 lines but the south line has been delayed because of the economy. The MBTA might buy 4 of them and lease a few more beyond that in addition to the 20 locomotives we are getting.

Hey, I'm back from Florida. To Andrew: Any more updates from the mesh before I start upgrading the mesh?

Also I have an assignment for viewers: can anyone find good drawings for MP36 & 40?

I want to get this released soon.

Any new updates on the MP36 model, because sadly I am tailing this project with my MBTA GP40MC engine and possibly another...not sure yet!!
