Moving boats

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if it is possible to have boats moving down a river or out on a lake. If it is at all possible, could someone please explain how to go about this.
I think it has to do with invisible track, but I can't figure out how to go about it.
Any help with this would be great...

I've made a number of bridges (both rail and automotive) that will work with boats configured as locos running on invisible tracks in the water.
