hey guys, are there any plans to make the wheels turn on the locomotives and wagons near future?? I mean all other train sims seem to have them, i thik its a must doooooo :udrool::udrool:

Been there, done that :)

I see your new to the forums, welcome :D

I also see from the mapy thing next to your name you only have the original trainz, this is the oldest of the lot, so a lot of the rolling stock wont really roll... if you upgrade then all the stock has animated wheels, however if you do upgrade go for trainz classics upward, as anything below that ( trainz sp2, UTC, Trs2004 and trs2006 ) have no support or download station access ( i dont want to start another argument about this, i'm just stating the facts )

Welcome to the forums and happy trainzing!

AHA! I like the way that sounds, I think im switching to the right track here, with many thanks :) Ok so I have the oldest one, this explain's why I have found it on shelf at EB games with only $9.99 . Hmmm so you were saying to upgrade and the wheels will have animation. So do I have to buy like Trainz 2004 or just go there?

Wait a second, i think i JUST worked it out, Trainz Classic is an upgraded version Trainz which features rolling animated wheels, lights, etc. Of course, so I will have to buy Trainz Classic. But If i buy it will all stock from Trainz have all the features from Trainz Classics?

I did some google-ing and I found this

http://store.steampowered.com/app/24610/

It looks like there are vol. 1+2 and vol. 3 which only concludes of steam? but 1+2 are more on the 21st century side. Im having a debate to myself about which to get, because I really love the rough and dirty and clogged sound of locomotives such as here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oYGk7YY5BVg&feature=related

Firstly, welcome to Trainz!

Secondly, in my opinion, I think it would be worth getting TRS2009. TRS2009 has more features than Trainz Classics. Eg, more detail, strobe/ditch lights on locomotives, 3D tracks, 5m baseboards (I don't mean 5m x 5m wide, if you don't know what I mean, don't worry), animated/moving wheels and more detailed ground textures.

TRS2009 is also still supported by Auran. :)

I would for go for TS2010 which is the latest version (that said TS2009 is a good product and slightly cheaper).

But be aware that you need a fairly decent PC to run these versions. Min and Max PC specs are give in the product details.

Personally I like to buy direct from Auran, link to shop here:

http://www.auran.com/auran/store/index.php?p=50&page=1&group=1&sort=2

Some third party suppliers (e.g. Steam) may require you to have their software installed on your PC in addition to Trainz - which can be a drain on your PC resources. Also some third party suppliers may require you to have the Trainz DVD in your drive all the time. These are anti piracy measures but can cause problems.

Just my personal opinion !

Oh that will be a pice of cake, I will soon get alienware m17 which I am hoping then to run, let's say TRS2010 in HD:). Ok just one question, does TRS2010 have a class37 by any chance?

Hi Ronayne, :P I heard some pretty good stories about TRS2009 how has she been treating you?

TS2010 has speedtrees and a more content available than TS2009. TS2009 was just the new game engine to give content creators a chance to create content. We had problems with trees etc so TS2010 addresses those problems.

Cheerio John

Trainz 2010 has new content plus the content from the previous versions of trainz and it works just fine on my 1year old HP desktop.

Heck, I was looking today at the official video and im falling inlove with TRS 2010 the detail is superb, plus everything else that I hear you can get....wow
