I may have to replace my mobo (still under test at tech's) as well as CPU and RAM if I do as they are outdated and no replacement x79 mobo's available
New CPU will be i7 5820 plus 32gb 2400 DDR4
If I have to i have narrowed my selection down to these two boards
MSI X99S GAMING 7 or Asrock Fatal1ty X99X Killer
Any thoughts

Dave,

I have the MSI GOD-Like motherboard with the 5830 and it's an awesome combination. I highly recommend it. The processor and RAM combination will get you many years, I think, out of the hardware before it needs replacing.

What's interesting is the newer motherboards support so much RAM! I have 64GB installed at the same price I paid for 16GB 4 years ago. I tried for the max of 128GB, because I could, but that was too expensive because of the 32GB DIMMs required.

The motherboard you are looking at is quite nice as well and will surely be as rock solid I hope as mine. MSI makes nice hardware.
