More realistic tunnels

Is it possible to have a tunnel that is actually dark inside? I ask because i am kind of tired of driving through tunnels that have no lights but yet are fully illuminated.

If they do exist could you tell me where i can get them from?

Set up a 'whistle' trigger at either end of the tunnel and when you hear the first whistle, close your eyes. Open them again when you hear the whistle sound a second time.

You can get a little more realistic, but not entirely dark, effect by using special track. This tunnel uses Bloodnok's 'UK Tunnel 2 Track Stone' KUID:60850:37902 for the lining. I shall release a brick one of my own to the DLS soon. The track is 'UK Bullhead- Wooden Tunnel Track' by tmz06003. KUID:283805:2804105 There may be others.

It is possible to have dark tunnel interiors if the creator provided the textures and ground shadows, like in this thread, showing road and railroad tunnels:

The tunnels have no track attached, so any track can be used.
