Montana Rail Link MP V2 OP-Session's (This aint your daddy's circle burning)

tonight would probly be the perfect night for a big session

I wouldn't think so due to the fact that many people, and most, if not all, of the usuals for this route, are going to be too busy feasting and relaxing. Nice to know that somebody is still interested in this route/session though.

Well, it's nice to know that you're still alive and kickin'. :hehe:

Just drop the line here when you want to host one.

Check my blog for more info. But if you guys ever want to host a session on your own you may. I have a Teamspeak server that I am trying to keep up and running for a while. Any one may use it. IP for it is 68.32.90.157

Update coming soon! MRL WINTER Version. Same route, same session. Just added a few texture's, a few new buildings, a few new locomotives, and set it to winter theme for snow. Just for the winter month's.

Uploading the update as we speak. Should be live in the next day or so. Both the route and session MRL TOPSIG will have to be downloaded for MP to work.

I am completely new to multiplayer but once Trainz 12 arrives in the mail I'd be very interested in joining a session. Is there any software I need to install before I arrive in the session? To give you a bit of an idea what I can do, I can run a switcher, local, or mainline freight. Prefer a steam engine unless a diesel is required. will you be holding a session anytime soon?

Hello Haddock, I saw from your Post you are geting a hard copy of TS12. If you have ordered it from N3V games in Austrailia there won,t be I problem. If you ordered it from Steam then I,m not quite so sure. In any event when you have installed it and registered it, from the launchpad select "options", "Planet Auran" and enter your username and password. Then close TS12 and restart. You should then be able to install your patches if you have a N3V Games copy. Next from the Launch Pad select "start" and wait for any updates to complete. Now you have the Main Menu. When it is convenient select "Content Updates" and download them all. This will probably take around 2 hours. Finally you can start downloading Routes and Sessions. There are a lot of posts on the subject including a useful one I just wrote in another multiplayer thread.

Thanks guys. I ordered it from N3V; I've had Trainz 2010 for a good while and recently got a new pc. I download from various sites, and I usually download and save the patch files for later use. That takes a long, long time. As to content, some from the DLS others from various sites. I'll see you out on the rails soon. John

There are no specific programs you need to play MP. But there are a few that are handy. Team Speak is a big one. Many sessions use it to allow us to use voice communications. Skype is also usefull for this, but many of us use it as a way of keeping in touch away from the sim and forum.

I saw it, and I am reworking the sessions power wise from the ground up. By power I mean locomotives. So when we get in there, to drive, locomotives will be in all new places.

But this brings me to an idea I have. As it goes, Im putting only BN, BNSF, and MRL power on the route. But I got to thinking, there are a few of us out there with our own fictional railroads. Such as my Fox Mountain railroad. My idea is this. If you want your fictional railroad represented in session, say so here and have a locomotive or two on the DLS painted and lettered for your road. I'll be sure to put it in the session some place.

Sounds good. I know of two people that have their own fictional railroads, neither of which have road power (to my knowledge). I currently have one person trying to decide on a number set for some GP30's. I guess I could always whip up some GP30's for a particular FMR...

Here's one of the new locomotives to the session. And yes, all the support buildings are in place to keep these running if you run in Cab mode.

Uploaded the new route and session which has an unknown kuid. The unknown Kuid is part of the Green Goat GG20B BNSF. So I can,t play the session. But as my own session runs on the Winter Route I,m going to host that.

Well, this is just great! I can,t play my own session on the new Winter Route as the track has been moved in Laurel to make way for a Coaling Tower for the Stupid Steam Loco,s which has derailed 2 pairs of lococomotives in the process. Nor can I download the original Route. I,m about ready to give up on TS12 and uninstall it. At least I,ll still have Run8 to turn to.

Haveing that same problem.....Every thing shows as on the DSL or built in....but I have no clue as to why my new session is not working on my end. Has any one else had any problems?
