Modula City v3.6 upgrade or full version

Hello,

Will there be some nice should out there to point me in the right direction? I have Modula City v3.0 on CD from www.halycon.de.

I have downloaded update ver. 3.5 from their Website but does not complete - it starts some Trainz progs in the background during "old content" delete phase, then asks to be re-run. Then it cannot run due to the very progs in the background the patch itself fired up.

I read on the Trainz forum there is a ver. 3.6 available.

Would anyone know where to get it - either upgrade or the full version?

Regards, mimes

As per some advice I found on Trainz forums, I have messaged user "cab" who apparently was behind the Modula City project. However, there was no response from him (yet). Anyone would know what else one may do to get Modula City version 3.6?

Thank you,

mimes

When it's running, check around for a large file - 100-250mb, I forget exactly how much. It might be in a C:\Program Files directory, or maybe temp files or something of that sort. It may appear either as a CDP file or as a DLL (library file), which is just a CDP in disguise. The installer for both MC 3.6 and Cabon City works by unpacking this into a folder temporarily. The installer itself doesn't seem to work with any modern version of Trainz, so you have to do this workaround.

Hello RRSignal,

sorry to bother you with these questions:

- when what is running? on my PC? DLS?
- *.CDP or *.DLL file about 100-250 mb - what name - or approximate name?

Would love to sort this out and run v 3.6.

Thank you, mimes

On your PC. I forget the exact procedure, but it goes something like this: Run the Modula City EXE file. Point it to your Trainz installation (preferably, pre-TS12 SP1), input serial number if you've got one. It will probably fail with an error. Don't click Cancel or Ok or anything. Leave it running with the error showing. But there should be a directory/folder somewhere (maybe in C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86)). It could also be in a folder under your temp folder too C:\Users\YOURNAME\AppData\Local\Temp. It's a large file - you can't miss it.
