Model Railroadz

I think i prefer the greener more forest-esque railroads you've made. But hey, that's just me...great work, Phil.
Yes, I have to say that it is quite interesting to get "lost" among the trees in a model railroad layout! This is the thing I find most amazing about Trainz, is that you can create a very realistic layout in a model railroad style. Watch your screenshot angles carefully, and the shot looks like it's outdoors!

Great work, as always, Philskene!

Mick!

Phil, I think greener by the description, Really liking those facia they really do cover up angled corners well.

Also as a tribute to you on my new NG there is the Skene Shingle Co. at Orient.

Thanks for the comments and feedback guys.

The verdict seems unanimous -- coolness + trees + green + dampness. Though my preference is actually heat + rocks + dust + rattle snakes.

So there will be two versions -- "The Cilie Oldphartz Mining Railroad" and "The Cilie Oldphartz Logging Railroad". In the latter the mine shown towards the bottom left in the plan view will become a logging camp.

My attempt at a Model Railroadz based off of Jerry Macri's Pennsy layout. I was really impressed by it's size!

As you can see, I have a long way to go, but I think it can be done.

The "Modified" Pioneer & Freedom...

So with the kind blessing of WCRULEZ, I am slightly modifying his excellent layout into a modern day coal hauler...preliminary stages as seen below:

Adding a more mountainous base with 3 mines and a couple of other industries along with an engine servicing area.

Looking good so far wpn! I like little layouts like that!

Wow, Railhead! Looks much better than when I made it! Nice work!

Listen, my talent is in detailing, I suck at layout design so I am always on the hunt for a good layout design and yours fits the bill perfectly....my creation would never come to life if it wasn't for your design....both are equally important in my eyes.

Few shots from a coal train around the modified route.

The Cilie Oldphartz Narrow Gauge Railroad

Continued from my Post #2497, previous page.

I've had a couple of hours to spend on the layout and have now got all the track work in place, all the structures and all the terra-forming.

It now looks thus:

With a log camp:

And stock yards bottom right:

I hope to have time to do the texturing next week end and then add the vegetation.

And, yes, I hope it satisfies those wanting to run longer trains over longer distance.
