Yeah, so I forgot to turn off shadows. Don't judge me. :hehe: This is based on my very own room, the track plan is accurate to what I have laid out, the scenery is what I'd like to wind up with.

Thanks from me too. I thought by the quality in the screenshots that they must be speedtrees, evidently the billboard technology is still advancing also! :hehe:+
Cheers

Oh man, I just love being part of this community. The creativity, effort, and soul being put into this program just amazes me. Good job everyone, when i get the opportunity I'll try to post some screens.

Today's build log update is bought to you by the words; hang, over and bacon sandwich.

Got a little bit of progress done yesterday so a few pics that I snapped are below.

Decided that the route will be a faux point-to-point with the option of a full loop if you want to play tail chasers, so the first thing I had to make was hidden storage to serve two directions and include for a run through line.
This needed a bit of extra flooring spline to be added but not really a big deal. The longest storage road is a fraction over 19' (HO scale) which will make for some pretty decent length trains.

From outside...

First rough track plan put down.
This will be the main yard for the branch and also the home for the servicing of local switchers which means I could justify going slightly overkill with the size of the yard. I've also included an arrival/departure loop for mainline interchange (ignore the big building on the left, it's gone).

Roughing out the landscape and backdrops. This route will be mostly flat but I do want to put a few rivers/streams/creeks in somewhere. You can see a rough outline of a small but deep creek at the end of the yard.

Started adding a few details to the creek, bridge, roads and yard

Some depot details.

And lastly, a few bits of grass :) does make a difference though!

It was about an hour to get the storage roads done and 2.5 to do the rest.
Will try to get this area 99% done today and will post up results

Eso (and others),
I have downloaded the Basement layout and I am still missing the below kuids:

I have downloaded what I believe are all the assets from these threads and I have MWG 3.0 installed. My Google searches for the above kuids bring back nothing.

Any assistance is greatly appreciated in finding these!

@Trainboi1: Are you planning on releasing that route? I really like how compact it is. I have a hard time making a route that small.

I'm hoping to get to work on the CSP Railroad when I get home and post some pics of it on here for you all to see -inprr

You don't know the half of it!;) I'm probably going to release it, yes. It's based on Atlas track plan HO-23, just like my very own model railway. As a matter of fact, I even structured the big scenery off of what my room has, minus my dresser and desk. And the fact that my real bunk bed has the top bunk covered with plywood as a makeshift workstation.:o But so much for absolute realism, unless I want to make a 2x size bascule lift bridge and 4x size space shuttle as well.:hehe: But I digress.
