Model Railroadz

...other normal things that would impede the normal construction of a model railroad...

Does that include a scale Wife type person  :n: ?

Here are a couple of British model RR shots:

THAT!! Very cool, certainly sets the mood. Love the details!

@luvintrainz

Anything show up in the open for edit or today tabs? It's a very small DL so that may be why it's finishing so fast.

Check to make sure the entire file downloaded. I've had trouble with that before too. Sometimes the web browser cuts a download short, and when this happens, CM can't open the .cdp because not all of it is there.

Sorry to quote a picture, but I really like this screenshot. Looks like something you'd see in a Model Railroad magazine.

On a side note, you guys are making some nice "Model Trainz" routes.... why not apply that talent to a regular Trainz route? I'm a "cab rider" guy so the Model Trainz doesn't hold a lot of interest to me (don't care for riding in the cab and look out the window and see a brick wall going by). Just wondering if the fun of making a "realistic" route is becoming a forgotten feature of Trainz.

Still, I like the great screenshots in the thread.

Cheers,

Dave

Just another aspect of the program. I like model railroads and realistic routes. The former more. Opens up a new door for Trainz, a way to build every model railroad I dreamed of. For me, sitting in a cab for hours covering several hundred miles is boring. When that urge hits, I prefer MSTS with what I consider better physics.*

That little route I posted pics of was high on the list of actual model railroads I would love to build. I now have it virtually. Having a ball switching on it with good frame rates. Matter of choice I guess.

Thought I might draw a line under this one before I ruin it with changes :D
I've just re-done the team track into a general freight yard so it might be slightly different to the previous screens.

The Old Line

No speed trees in this one so it should apparently run on anything. Stuff not on the DLS should be available through JR's freeware section.

Dave, I suspect it will be a passing phase just as U_Make modular boards were. However for an ex-modeller like myself it is useful to be able to re-create realistically a real model railway/railroad.

Downloaded and Installed "The Old Line" this morning. Nice Job.
Scenery Choices are excellent.
Hope you can invest in a Multi-Level Layout with hills, tunnels, and bridges with double-triple mains but each main does not follow the exact same path thus utilizing the Multi-Level Areas.
This will change the meets at different locations and you can assign consists to alternate paths for a truly awesome Model Railroad Experience.

I will be modifying this for person use and adding signals for potential I-Portal Use.

If a person downloads this route....And as it says it wont work for the version of Trainz I got.....If one goes in and changed the build number to 3.6 instead of 3.7, will this still work then?????

From where did you downloaded "The Old Line"? Thamks, JP

Right from a few posts up

I took everyone's suggestion's, I downloaded the model railroad stuff from Jointed Rail in multiple browsers's, etc. But it still installs nothing. hmmm

Hey, I do that a lot to routes, I still 09sp4 the only bad thing is the built in content, then you have a lot of missing stuff, ;)
