Missing Textures in Trs 2019

Hi all, I am trying to install my routes on Trs 2019 and many of my dependencies are faulty. Most of them say that the texture file is faulty. Would I have to go through each one and try to fix them? Most of them say that the .txt file is missing.

Thanks!

Are these .texture files?

Simple fix. Use Images2TGA in batch mode like this:

C:\Program Files (x86)\PEVSoft\Images2TGA\Images2TGA.exe" -trawl "F:\TRS19_Data\Editing\%1%"

Copy this line to a notepad file and save as .cmd

Change the "F\TRS19_Data\Editing%1%" (include the quotes) to whatever your TRS19 data is located.

Open the assets for editing.

Run the batch.

Submit.

The only assets it does not work on are the DLC.

List the faulty ones then filter by 'On Download Station'. If they are on the DLS, delete them from the installation and download them from the DLS. This should fix most of them.

Hi John, I copied the file to the notepad but cannot figure out how to run the batch. Is there something I should do in content manager?

Thanks

Thank you, I will try this for the assets that are located on the DLS.

1) You need Images2TGA installed.
2) Copy that line and paste to a text file in Notepad edit accordingly to your install.
3) Save the file as Images2TGAbatch.cmd

The cmd is what tells the computer to run the batch.

4) Open Content Manager
5) Open faulty assets for editing.
6) Run the batch.
7) Submit the assets.
8) Look at faulty and ensure these have been removed from the list.

This works for other content as well and not just textures.

Keep in mind that there could be updated assets available on the DLS, which will replace the ones you imported. I always check for updates before running any batches, or repair content since the updates can and usually do save a lot of time.

Hi John, I'm still having trouble figuring out how exactly to run the batch.

Batch files are like program files - once saved they can be run just like a program from where you saved it to (although I'd suggest right-clicking it and using Run As Administrator).

Shane

Hi Shane, I ran the batch file and but everything is still faulty. I saw images2tga come up for a second, then it went away. I'm not sure if it did anything.

OK - is that specifically to the editing folder itself or just to the local data folder? I also need to check whether you're running it as administrator or not as Images2TGA can do some strange things if not.

Shane

You will need to point it at the editing folder inside the local data folder rather than just the local data folder itself (note - this is not the same place as where the program files are).

Shane

Hi Shane, so I pointed it toward the editing folder and ran the batch file in administrator, and an application opened up for not even a second and then went away. Not sure what it was.
