Asset Translations Reversal

Recently, I attempted to share a Trainz 2019 Data Folder with T:ANE. Needless to say, it did NOT go well, as it resulted in most of the content missing dependencies or becoming faulty. I'm assuming this is because of the Asset Translation differences between both versions of the game. Is there a way to reverse the translations? Or do I have to redownload all the faulty content/fix it?

A lot of things changed between T:ANE and TRS19, so the TRS19 data folder is not compatible with T:ANE. Unless something got corrupted, it should still work for TRS19 (May need an EDBR?), but you need to create a separate data folder for T:ANE. Then, you can export assets from TRS19 that are version 4.5 or lower to CDPs and then import them into T:ANE. Any Payware from N3V should be downloadable in both versions from N3V without having the slow download rate.

Except the original poster is taking a TRS19 asset and attempting to install it into TANE. Backwards compatibility (taking an asset created for one version of Trainz and trying to install it into an earlier version) is not guaranteed in Trainz.

Was it a built-in asset or from the DLS? Built-in assets cannot be transferred between versions.

Quoting the <kuid> of the asset would be a great help.
Not just one asset, but multiple. It's a mix of built-in & imported assets. Some examples would be <kuid2:283805:55001:8> or <kuid:953123:100044>

The built-in assets, as I mentioned, cannot be transferred to other versions.

<kuid2:283805:55001:8> is payware and that probably explains why it could not be transferred. You would need to install it again from the Content Store in the other version of Trainz (if it is compatible)

<kuid:953123:100044> is showing as an <unknown asset>in my CM.
