Missing dependencies

I have been trying to find the 168 missing dependancies, that show up when I click on the missing dependancies tab. I then right click on an item and select view dependancies, and it is after this point I am becoming confused::o

Some items quote a number of missing assets and for them I click on view in main, I then select them and try to download them.

Other have no missing assets so I am lost, so I press view error and warnings and it say something along the lines of "meshes no longer available in CCP, switch to LOD"....come on guys speak english, and how on earth am I supposed to do that.:D

Add to this "complaint" I have down loaded Paddington to Bristol part 1 and for the life of me I cannot get points in it AND no missing dependancies show up on the list. :confused:

Is it possible for someone to enlighten me as to how I can get the missing dependancies and solve these minor annoyances I'm having.

:eek: Well Des I have the same problems with my content, I wish they would come up with instuctions for some of the errors and warnings we recieve, I just don' understand that stuff, they need to put it in laymans terms so a dummy like me can figure it out, sorry not much help, I'm watching your thread to see if someone comes up with something... I've read all the manual's and stuff, just wanted you to know that your not the only one:confused: ...

There are so many kinds of errors and warnings that it's hard to give general repair instructions that would be useful, better to post specific kuid numbers and their error indications here and you'll get help.

In general, warnings are precede with a yellow icon and can be ignored. Errors are preceded with a white X in a red circle. Some errors can be ignored if the asset shows up in surveyor. Others have to be fixed or the item will not show.
 
LOD=Level Of Detail and refers to the method of reducing the detail for objects that are further away. This improves frame rate in the game. The LOD is part of the design of the mesh and is done by the original creator of the object. You can't do anything about so ignore it. You can read about it in the TRS2006 Content Creators Guide, page 370. If you don't have it you can download if from http://www.auran.com/TRS2006/global/files/CCG2006.zip

Missing dependencies: Gresley Chime Hornsound 4468:54004

This last item (along with others) show up as being on the DLS but I have tried downloading it about 5 times to no avail.

kuid2:45317:500091:1 is updated to b4 bogey mk2 charter,<kuid2:45317:500091:2>. I downloaded/commited w/o errors in CM2.

Gresley Chime Hornsound,<kuid:4468:54004> wouldn't download via CM2 so I went straight to the DLS and downloaded it via FTP to a temp folder. Then used CM2 to import the CDP. I installed and commited w/o errors.

I already have <kuid:86661:51205>. It is the enginespec for Sandy River and Rangeley Lakes #5 (srrl fourney 5). You can get that loco and all of its dependencies at http://www.steammachine.com/slugsmasher/ss2_downloads_main.htm

I googled kuid:132903:2100 and got a hit for carsoncarshops forum. From the discussion I realized this is part of a narrow gauge Caboose (30ng Caboose - Tuscan,<kuid2:242091:2097:2>) available at TPR. Did a search for it at http://trainzproroutes.com/downloads/index.php?act=search, downloaded/commited and was missing the bogey and interior. I searched TPR for the bogey kuid:242091:50251 and download it. I couldn't find the interior <kuid:132903:2100> so I edited the Caboose config.txt file and removed the interior tag and also the reference to kuid:132903:2100 in the kuid-table. Saved and Commited ok.

Hi Guys, to be honest at the moment I am not having much luck with things. but, I cant seem to find 2: 45317:500091:2 anywhere. I have looked on dls and nothing. Can any one help ? Plus, if anyone has any idea why I cant load s&c to my ts2009 I would be greatful, sorry to hijack the thread.
