Missing AI session instructions

I opened TS2010 and noticed that on a number of routes my AI sessions were missing the instructions in the driver strip and all of the drivers were Adair.
I carried out a database repair and then an extended database repair. I did notice that the repair showed plenty of red symbols stating that it could not find certain kuids. The suprising thing is that CM does not indicate a problem so there is nothing to show that something is amiss - I did a backup last week and that also includes the corruption!
I normally use TS12 now but I've spent the past week or so downloading vincentrh's superb French routes.
On the face of it I would think that my Database is corrupt but I would have thought that the extended database repair would have aolved that any help would be appreciated but I think this may be a job for Shane.

That does sound like database corruption to me.

I do need to clarify something though. Some of the messages (usually '<kuid> does not match the database record) are normal as this is what the repair process has fixed.

The thing to check is if any of the assets are now showing up as Faulty. The likely items that need checking are locally installed assets in the Script,Rule, and Driver categories.

Hi Shane
Checked drivers - no problems but I did have one Script error and one Rule error which I have deleted.
The problem has not cured itself but I didn't think it would - do I do another DB repair now?

Thanks for the quick response I didn't even have time to finishing making my tea!

It's worth doing so - make sure it's an extended one though, and also check for false positives as well.

Also check generally for faulty assets.

If you have a previous version of the route available, try that as well.

I've set the Extended DB repair running. I went back and found a June version of the back up and that version is ok but as I've spent so long loading vincent's routes I rather fix the current version.

Ken

I had the issue personally a few months ago. Apart from re-doing all the missing information, using a previous version is the best choice.

Just finished the repair it's showing 4816 errors.
I've checked various routes and sessions most of which are my sessions for ECML that are effected - they all have multiple versions of Adair with no session commands except two on the first one.
However Murchison 2 with it's 29 sessions is unaffected.
What would cause such a basic problem - not being alerted to the problem is far from ideal as most people would back up over the previous version, fortunately I am old school and keep older ones as well, just in case.
Is my case a lost cause?

I'd first advise revalidating any faulty assets first.

Does the Jetlog give any clues?

It happened suddenly when it happened to me as well - that's one weird Trainz bug.

This problem must have occured at least sometime over a week ago because the back up last Wednesday has the same problem. What did you do to resolve the problem. I have since copied the full version from 11th June to my hard drive ready to pick up any items I had installed since June. In CM how do I select any items installed since 11th June are there < or > operators.

Could be related, driver atari stopped responding to commands, little red light came on etc. Used quick drive and deleted him replaced him and all was fine.
Same with the couple+decouple commands, red bug etc. Used quick drive again and no problems yet.

I suppose the only practical way is to sort by local and then sort CM into installation date.
Which way do you recommend just by CDP, say 100 items at a time, as the dependancies will be part of the list so archive files will not be necessary.

Hi Fran
Have you had a similar problem. In surveyor it only shows one Adair but when I use quick drive all drivers are Adair, over 15 of them in one session!

Ken

I've not been that unlucky, it was in a saved session it happened.
The decouple command has gone duff in a couple of sessions and at the moment is ok. My problems seems random.
Check quick drive and v2 for a fault, I've just had a flash back. don't ask.
