Hi, I'm new to this forum, but have had trainz UTC and now 2006, I've always liked trains, I just think they are facinating.

anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knows if sommeone has mad the Midland Mainline route from London St Pancras to Leeds? As MML are my local company, and I'd like somewhere I can drive my MML HST's on!

Unfortunately nothing doing at the moment adman 500. There has been talk between various creators of doing something depicting the MML i.e. Leics, Derbyshire, Notts, areas but nothing has been advertised recently.
To enable you to run your MML HST's or any other large passenger trains, may I suggest a selection of routes which I personally found to be excellent in length, design and fully textured for typical rural UK routes.

Ultimate British Rail - several routes to choose from created by JezyG
Steeple Bumstead and Stony End 2 by Gamerouche
Yorkshire ( parts 1 - 8 ) by pd1138
Rhubarb Junction LMS ( OK for diesel trains but it was designed for steam ultimately ) by Driver Col
Green Hills - 2004 by dynasaur

I have downloaded all of these and found by using my imagination I could alter station names to suit my needs, but they were all excellent in having enough room to open up the throttle on any passenger train workings and giving your HST's and Deltics a "bit of welly". Have fun...

cool, thanks very much for that information, I really appreciate it, I shall download those routes, and have a looksee.

Thanks again.

Edit: One thing I am having trouble with is finding the content to download, I am using the CMP, but all my searches come up with nothing, am I doing something wrong?

thanks

I have a layout which I've titled "Nottingham 1 - Southwest". This is intended to be the first of a series covering routes around Nottingham. It covers the route from near Nottingham down (or should that be "Up"?) to Ratcliffe Power Station. It's set in the late 70s to mid 80s, but not too much has changed since then so it would be ideal for your MML HSTs.
Its ready for the DLS, but I'm still working on the "splashscreen" and info pages for it.
Keep a lookout here Nottinghamshire for an announcement when it is on the DLS.

Oh boy its an old thread. But is some1 still working on this route. If not i hope some1 will make the part from London to Bedford, including the Thameslink. I,m not that familar with UK lay-outs. But if i could i should try this one.

Hey, i know it was a long time ago but if you still have the South Yorkshire route for TRS04 can you send it (the CDP) to juniorsackey@btinternet.com please? If not, can you send the cdp for the points that you used when creating it, as sheffield station is full of points with no levers or ways or switching them.

Cheers
Frank

@ Captain Scarlet:

Sorry to ressurect an old thread again, but is there any chance of info relating to getting hold of the "South Yorkshire" route.

With any luck, it'll merge in with the ECML route in TS2010

If you need an email addy, dont hesitate to ask.

Thanks

If you register your copy of Trainz you will be able to access the Down Load Station. I do believe it is available on there.

The South Yorkshire route was never released to the DLS; I have the Sheffield route but always had the issue that it never brought up the dependencies list that other routes have and they aren't listed on the DLS.
