So I was looking around on the internet and I found this website about tiny model railroads. I mean, they're tiny! The website shows some inside a shoebox, literally!

P.S.: I believe I found where Philskene got the name for his "Inglenook Industrial Railroad".

There have been a number of model railroads built into glass topped coffee tables for example. Years ago they were TT gauge but now days probably N gauge. A search for table railroads in the Model Railroader DVD set might turn up a few.

Z-scale is also popular for this and one time Märklin had a showcase layout inside of a briefcase.

Recently a new scale has come up on the market. T-Scale which is a little bit more than 1/2 the size of Z-scale at 1:450 versus 1:220.
