merging routes question

Hi guys.
I want to know if it is possible to rotate a route when it is merged with another one? I know it would have to be restricted to lining the boards up - ie 90 degrees, But can it be done and if so how. When I have looked at merging I can move the second route up/down, left/right but cant see a means of rotating it.

Nope, cant be done.

There is one trick though that I have seen. It involves placing down thumbtacks, which are an asset some place, then using the copy paste tool to copy them and rotate them. You place one at each track mark, then after you have them rotated and in place, you put down your track. But you could, an this is a bit tricky, use the copy paste tool to coy the track, terrain, textures, and buildings to a set of blank grids. Then delete the old ones and them merge that.

Only way it could be done.

Mm. Thanks Jlb228. It sounds like an awful lot of work for something that could easily be implemented into the merge utility.

Easy to say when you are not the person(s) doing the coding, I suspect that if it was easy to do, it would have been implemented by now. May well get it in a future version though if enough people request it.

I was wondering the same thing too, but I was also wondering why is it that when I merge two routes together end to end, one of the routes is significantly lower than the other? Is it possible to change the height of the routes so that they are even instead of having to build massive slopes? If I cannot adjust the height of the routes so that they will match and I can only build slopes, is there an easier way to do so?
