Merged Australian Routes

There's also the copyright issue, several of the routes are by Ntesdorf who hasn't been active on here for years and so, cannot give permission to update and upload his routes.
cheers

I've tried merging in the past and ran into issues on TRS19 however the same merge on TRS22 worked fine. If you have both try the merge in the different environments. For me on TRS19 it seemed to lock up or something and left running for 24 hours. When I did the exact same merge on TRS22 it completed in maybe 20 seconds

ARTC Main South VR Northeast v2
Goulburn Murray Lines v4
NSW Holbrook branch
Rand Henty
Westby
Kywong Branch
Tumbarumba 1, 2, &3
Kywong Branch
Hay Branch 1, 2, & 3
Bethungra Spiral by Tomtre
NSW Stockinbingal Branch
WeddinNSW v6 for TRS22 or Weddin v5.3 + Galong to Boorowa (TRS19)
JoppaJct 2 Binalong
Gouburn Crookwell & Taralga v2
Picton 2 Goulburn
Illawarra South Coast NSW Australia

Most routes will need some surgery to enable merging. ARTC Main South has stubs where routes should be merged on to. Some routes are quite old, but can be brought up to TRS19/22 standards using the Bulk Replace tool and fixing the track.

You will need to trim some boards off the routes to be merged, to suit the stubs on the Main South route and some realignment of tracks will be needed. The merging window always has the routes positioned where north is at the top of the window. Make sure you are merging the route in the correct place. Henty to Rand, The Rock to Westby and Uranquinty to Kywong.

Try using this as a guide for merging Kywong. from memory it only needs the track moved marginally and joined and some smoothing of terrain to get the heights the same. (this is the Kywong branch east end, trimmed)

Anne can you show me how to connect the North side.
What north side?

A bit difficult at the moment, I just had my monitor die this morning and I'm working off a small tablet right now. I have all of the parts retextured, with the correct terrain heights to make it easy to put back together when necessary. Have a try yourself, by merging a couple of pieces together at a time. I do recall having to cut about seven rows out of the Picton route at Moss Vale to get the Illawarra route to merge.
Lucky I found these in an old post

you'll need to trim some boards off and delete the portals - leaving 7 rows to merge

Excellent (y) (y) You are finally getting used to merging routes, it does take time and patience
The first ever routes I merged were by NormP Brisbane South and Gold Coast back in Trainz 2006 that's what gave me the skills to merge Picton to Seymour and beyond. Of course, I had to upgrade my ram from 16GB to 32GB and it was well worth it

I find merge works OK in TRS2019 SP4, but not in TRS2019 SP5. I keep both on my desktop, and develop in SP4 for that reason. I have only 16GB, and have been able to merge all the Main South routes OK. I do have a large swap file allocated.

With regards pre-merged routes, I am working on a TRS2019 route that covers Joppa Junction to Bethungra, and Demondrille to Blayney. It should be available in a couple of months.
