Major Problems with TS2009

Hi all.

I have been playing TS2009 for about a week now, and love it. But I have encountered many, many problems. But the most major ones are, after installing SP1 and 2 patches TS2009 runs extremely slowly and with a lot of lag. Also it is continually freezing and shutting down, which results in me having to repair all content, which iv had to 4 times.

Now my system is more than capable of running TS2009 so I can't understand my these problems are occurring? Any help would be fantastic.

If you check out the "Having Problems?" thread in the TS2009 forum, you'll see a lot of problems being reported, some of which have been fixed in the upcoming Service Pack 2.

If you are having crashes and speed problems, though, I would suspect you have a hardware or driver issue, as TS2009 is very stable for me despite the numerous problems with it - I've had no crashes whatsoever. Try posting your hardware specs and see if anyone can offer some advice (I'm not a hardware guy, so I can't help much).

Did you rebuild the asset database after installing the service packs? This helps with the speed quite a bit. In fact when SP1 goes in, CM2 needs to run to rebuild the asset database first before you can use the program.

I agree with Jamie on this issue too. I would check your hardware. Make sure your system is running cool and the hard drive not only has plenty of space but also defragmented. Also scan your system for spyware and viruses as these things will hinder the performance of your machine as well.
