magnetic consist?

I have a consist of 70ft AAR flatcars, the cars are showing faulty.
In surveyor they are missing, the loco sitting on its own, logical.
However when I try to replace the missing cars the fresh car will not attach.
I have built a separate consist on an adjacent track and tried to couple to the loco but they jump around like they have opposing magnetic forces.
It seems that the non-existant consist (to the eye) is still interfering.
Does anyone have a fix?

Remove missing assets?

Try delete missing assets in your route. You could delete the faulty asset in CM and then do a delete missing assets.

Thanks both, that worked a treat, it found a few extra missing
I am re-visiting some earlier work on the dls, all working when placed there but time wreaks havoc.
