Looking for smaller routes

Hey,

I'm looking for smaller routes in the vane of Highland Valley and Kickstarter Country with interactive industries (waybill generation and the like) that are suitable for running AI trains. North America local preferred.

I've found i have a lot more fun running a railroad than I do driving trains around. Any suggestions appreciated.

You might want to take a look at some of the model railroad-style routes by Phil Skene (philskene).

These are small busy routes with lots of stuff going on as you describe that can keep you busy for hours. He also made some larger, meaning not shaped like a model railroad, that are busy as well. Sorry I can't think of the names offhand. Downtown Traction is one of them, but there are others.

I have 2 small routes on my web site. The Murrysville & Western, and the Gorre & Daphetid both have plenty of industry. They will run in TS12 and T:ane. Click on my signature below, and look under Routes/Model Railroadz.

Hi cofergus --

How small? The smallest I've done is "The Klozett Railroad Company", at about one third of a Trainz baseboard.

Watch full screen and at 1080p:

The brick walls are on the perimeter of the single baseboard. More details of the layout and sessions can be found here:

If you do an advanced search ("Search Single Content Type") of the Forums with User Name = philskene and "Find Threads Started by User" you will find details of my other layouts and routes.

All are highly interactive. Some allow for AI.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone.

Phil, I pulled down a couple of your routes last night. Was happy to see the Liliput Logger as that's a layout I'm actually planning on doing once i have the space :). Very nice layouts.

They're a little smaller than what i was looking for, I was looking for ones around the size of Kickstarter Country. Big enough to require some longer runs but still small enough for 1 player to manage multiple trains.

I couldn't give a baseboard number.. It's been a while since I've built a route in surveyor.
