Looking for pictures of the covers of various versions

I did not see a sticky post that was basically a "Newbies Start Here" kind of post that is often on forum sites, so i am just jumping in.

I am trying to figure out the various versions.

I have the 2006 version (which I know is the 2006 version as it says so on the box).

I also have what I think is a more recent version (as it comes with a DVD rather than a CD), but there is no date info in the title to indicate what version.

The box cover mentions a Harlem Line edition and a Metropolis Edition.

Can somebody point me to a thread with definitive info on the various versions including box cover pictures?

Ignoring the early days of Trainz the versions are , in order of release, 2004, 2006, 2009, 2010 and 12. There are also regional versions which contain fewer routes such as the one I am using now. 2010 from Just Trains in the UK. there are also Engineers editions of 2009/10. Not sure about 12. 2004 and 2006 are no longer supported by Trainz. There were, at one time 3 routes you could download as stand alone or incorporate into Trainz. One was the Settle and Carlisle, one was a narrow guage logging route and the other was an urban layout,

What you have is Trainz Classics 1&2 which in America was sold as Trainz Railwayz. It included the latest version of TRS2006 in the box too. It came after TRS2006 and before Trainz Classics 3. Then TS2009, TS2010 and TS12.

Re TC1&2

That 2-DVD box set of TC1&2 and TRS2006 described by wreeder is what got me involved in Trainz two years ago. TC1&2 (Harlem Line and Metropolis-Modula City) was a good place to learn because it had a much smaller variety of assets, so a new user was not overwhelmed by so much content to scroll through, and I added new stuff from the DLS over time. I am glad both routes are included in TS2010, since Modula City came with some good material from which to build a light rail transit system which is a major component of the route I started there and then imported into TS2010.

Thanks for that link. I have viewed Charlie's page there before, but the URL had been long gone for me until you posted that link. It has good information on releases of Trainz up to TRS2006.
