Looking for people....

Hi all.

I just opened my new content release site via weebly, and I wanted to ask if anybody had an interest in joining Michigan Rail Industries as specified content creators. Possible positions listed below:

FINALIZED POSITIONS:
Route Builders (2-3)
Content Creators [The all-around guys] (1-2)
Locomotive/Rolling Stock Creator (1-2)
Weathering Specialist (1)
Hornsound Creator (1)
Customer Support (1, possibly 2 on busy days. Second will be diverted from Content Creators)

I'm not sure about all of these, or even if they will all be filled, because there is no profit out of this, because this is a strictly freeware site. I'll need your support. PM me or leave a comment if you are interested, or if you have feedback. I will need a sample of your work. The web address is:

Alright, that BLOODY FRICKING DOES IT.

Apparently nobody except a few people can get past their selfishness and blindness to others needs in order to help somebody who is looking for some people to work together with to create good content for the trainz community. Sure, you can still apply. What in gods name happened to the forums where people helped each other and worked together? Now this community has put itself into a nose dive and this attitude towards other members is going down run us into the ground. As said before, you can still apply, but I'm madder than mad right now because some users think its ok to ignore a request for a team.

Well if you give your topic more time for people to see, they my be more inclined to speak up. I for one would be interested to join as a route builder. But I have been away from a computer since 3:30 this afternoon. So I for one never saw this post until just now.


Look HERE if you want to see my current MI based project. Once I update TransDEM, ill be adding the rest of the baseboard to do the full line. But now, its from Flint to Romeo.

Thanks Blue, maybe we could work some thing out. I have a little more free time now, and could possibly start an another, smaller, route just for your site. I do intend to put my Saginaw Sub on the DLS, for MP reasons. But I could put it up as invisible. Then you could put the link to its DLS download on your site. This would then pull people to your site and see your content, and still allow my route to be on the DLS.

In out of town this weekend, so I wont be too active on the forums. But when I get home Sunday night maybe we could talk a bit. Toss some ideas back and fourth. If you want that is. Ive been meaning to ether start up my own site like this, or join some other like minded people together to really make the best possible routes and sessions possible.

Couldn't agree with you more. However, there is a possibility I have youth group that night for my church. I have heard it maybe cancelled, but I can't confirm. I'll let you know as soon as I know.

I've been working on a route of my own; a fictional route. I might be able to pass it over to you for a double check on the signaling to be sure I did it right . Since I'm still in school, I can't get much done, but once summer comes...

You think people are SELFISH, because no one wants to join YOUR group. For starters, you have no real basis on why people should join your group. Secondly, I don't know whether many would want to join considering your excessive impatience. You expected 10 or 11 people to join a group that no one has ever heard of in 4 hours?

You can still get help, wait 24 hours, and give us a reasonable reason to help.

Because people like you think it's okay to go on random rants because 11 people didn't join your website in 4 hours. You're offering them NO incentive. Look at JR, two new members in the space of a few days because of their name, their monetary incentive, and many other reasons.

It wasn't being ignored. A lot of people don't like being in groups, including myself. I prefer to work on my own and not listen to whinging crybabies who call themselves members of a usually intelligent community

Bluewater, please develope some patience.
This is a train simulator and you made your post on Friday evening. 99% of the forum population did not even get a chance to read your post before they already get accused of selfishness and blindness. And all that because of the simple fact that some people have a life or were simply sleeping at the time of your post.

Give it some time . If what you have to offer is interesting enough for people to join, they will come. If not, figure out what is wrong about your offer or the way you are presenting it .
I personally am not interested because of what I read and what I found on your website so far, sorry.

You'll all be surprised that I DO have patience, you just haven't seen it because after 60 some views to this thread there wasn't one reply. I deteriorated fast, because I found pointless threads (in my opinion) getting 10-20 replies after almost the same amount of views of the thread. When it comes to other things, like, for example, a team of people working together, I DO have A LOT of patience, because I know that we all need each other to get it done.

@H222 (I think), Yes, I should've given it more time. And the "why would anyone apply to a site no ones heard of with an impatient leader?" We'll, they're not. They're applying to not only make great content, but to partner up with a good team leader, one that doesn't snap easily when being insulted. And to be honest I could use a person like you. I'm sorry if I came across as impatient, as I didn't intend to.
