judging by the kuid number of the 4F, those items will be found in the S&C 2009 add-on pack, available from the N3V shop.....

I think it's ridiculous that N3V allow models to be uploaded to the dls, only for the user to find
that the creator won't upload certain dependencies to the dls, making it a must to purchase an 'addon' pack
to be able to use the loco.

Surely for somebody living in the North the SnC pack is a must have. There is no better value in my view, superb locos and rolling stock. Mike10's Mk1 carriages (mesh by Rob) are worth the money in themselves.

Hi Kev

I don't understand why you have problems with the 4F as an older version is built in to TS2010 as part of the Hawes route. Did you download and install the updated model from the S&C add on website? If you did then that might explain why you have missing dependencies. If you did this then if you delete the updated version and its dependencies you should be able to access the older model again. Incidentally the S&C add on is available for $10 Aus (approx £6.40) with the 50% voucher off which represents tremendous value when you consider all the quality locos (steam and diesel) and rolling stock that either come with it or are available free from the website in addition to the route and scenery items.

If you re read the OP you will see that the creator of the loco with missing dependencies is not Paul Hobbs and so I don't see how you can blame Paul for this situation. I have had a number of dealings with Paul when buying payware locomotives from him and have always found him to be very helpful, even a couple of years after the initial purchase. You can't expect to be given dependencies that are included in a payware item such as the S&C add on as that wouldn't be fair to all those people who have bought it.

Have edit previous post, I made a mistake, on checking I found it wasn't the Fowler I had problems with.
I don't remember which, but I think there were 2-3 loco's that came from the dls, that threw up errors
because they used dependencies that were only included in the S&C pack. (will check back to find posts)

EDIT:- Found the last one, it was the 8F, http://forums.auran.com/trainz/showthread.php?87862-Can-anyone-help-find-these-dependencies

Note the comment @post 5, now I thought the 'Big Fix' was done to update earlier content for the later versions, but not so
it appears, yet I was told that upgrading from 2004 to 2010 would not see me lose the use of loco's, because most had been
updated or new ones made to run in the later versions.

Surely for somebody living in the North the SnC pack is a must have.

I have only seen references to S&C for TC3 or 2009, so why should I buy it, (when as above) I can't be sure that it will
all work correctly in the later 2010 ?

Thank you for the assurance 'wheelsonfire', have purchased S&C.

Incase I need to patch it for 2010, do you have a link for the patch please ?

Kev
I bought SnC over two years ago to add to TS2010 as I wanted the coaches for use with ECML. (I already owned TC3)
If you have trouble adding it to TS2010 you may have to do a stand-alone install and copy the ja file into TS2010 followed by entering the SnC serial number into TS2010.
I have since installed SnC into TS12 and it works flawlessly.
If you have any problems send me a PM I have all the extras in CDP format.

Incidentally the SnC contains the Black 5, 8F & 9F amongst others.

Did someone at N3V misread their map of England ? :hehe:
Everyone on the forum & the dedicated web pages, translates 'S&C' as 'Settle & Carlisle', but the
download & one of the routes within is named 'Skipton & Carlisle'.

hi mates
i do not have any s&c addons in my 2010EE.
as stated above, i need the dependencies for a queensland Australia loco.
thanks

Google Settle to Carlisle line for the history behind this scenic route. I think the team were originally going to do Leeds to Carlisle but decided to start at Skipton.

As the builder of the route I am in a position to comment on why the Trainz Settle & Carlisle starts at Skipton. The original plan was envisaged by ChileanLlama, it was Leeds to Carlisle and it was he that put together the Rail-sim uk group to achieve this. He later left the group and with only one route builder remaining we decided to make cut backs. We had reference to the original MSTS simulator route but considered the starting point of Settle was unsatisfactory, so we plumped for Hellifield as the southern starting point and route building proceeded. Further on we obtained the services of a 2nd route builder so we reverted to the whole route, and I completed the topography between Hellifield and Leeds. With the subsequent departure of this 2nd route builder we were still able to complete and add on the Skipton to Hellifield section. The original release in TC3 was Skipton to Carlisle but it was called Settle to Carlisle since that has been one of the best known railways in the UK, all the way from its original planning and building right up to the present day.

The topography from Leeds to Skipton still exists within the rail-sim group. One day it might see the light of day although prototypical track laying for the 1960s would be a real challenge.
