I would suggest you provide information from some place more reputable then Tom’s B.S. hardware site.

Why is it that you must, try and correct everything that everyone says regarding computer hardware and even software. You are not god's gift to computer components and the building or upgrading of a computer either. The fact that you seem to "talk down" to everyone strikes a nerve with me, and I am sure many others to.
None of us have to prove ourselves to you, about what we have and have not done.

A lot of things you say here are all a personnel opinion and can hardly pass as a hardcore fact.. Like Dell's suck. I personally agree with that statement, however other people like them, and stand by the product for what it was intended to do.

If any company was selling "Intel"-brand computer parts that were not even actually made by Intel, or made under a license from Intel, then they would be commiting trademark infringment, and would be wide out in the open for a huge law-suit.

I’ll give you just one example, the company is called Foxconn.

I know that Intel outsources their manufacturing. Otherwise, since Intel is an American company (right?), we would likely be seeing Made in U. S. A. computer parts, which are as rare as car-sized diamonds these days.

Some times, the name of the Asian (yes it is always Asian :'( ) manufacturer of the part is stamped on it. That would be a start.

Which Dell PC that you’ve owned has had a “REAL INTEL BOARD”, built by Intel, lol?

How about the Intel branded boards sold at Newegg, Tiger Direct among others, are those “Intel” motherboards built by Intel?

My studio xps 435 mt has an INTEL x58 motherboard...

The word Dell never appears on it and I know it for a fact since I have held it in my hands...

The word Intel is silkscreened on it multiple times...

Again I know it is since I have held it in my hands and seen it with my own eyes...

Now unlike YOUR "Intel Branded" licensed Asus wannabe, my motherboard IS an Intel board and yours is NOT...

"Experience with them" yeah right if you had any you would know what is in one and wouldn't be just making up stories to try to convince people you were smarter for wasting $350 bucks on a licensed intel wannabe board...

Now you can take my word for it OR if you are REALLY confident in your knowledge just pm me and I will give you a paypal acct and when you put 50 bucks in there I will remove my motherboard and take some pictures for you and show you that you are just plain wrong...

50 bucks should be nothing for someone who busts out 350 for a mobo right?:hehe:

It doesn't really matter. A lot if not the majority of your Ford or Honda wasn't made by Ford or Honda. But the car is still built to Ford or Honda's specs and it's Ford or Honda's reputation at stake, good or bad.

So hardware genius, why all that high dollar hardware just to run a directx 9 trains sim?

Or are you just a wasted gamer who can't sleep well unless they have the latest greatest?

Bottom line the OP asked if that Dell would run 2010 and it will and then some...

So hardware genius, make the case WHY he should follow your example and waste money on hardware he will never benefit from running trainz 2010?

I also wrote that for a good number of years now Dell has been using "off the shelf" components and that is absolutely the truth...

The facts are that a 2 year old Dell i7 920 with a ATI 4850 can pull 70 fps running Avery-Drexel with everything maxed out...

Sorry that doesn't show much. Get out the Fraps counter and show a variety of screen shots taken at 1920x1080 or above with at least 8x supersampling AA enabled (like I have in the past here on this forum) and let's see what you get.

Make sure you get the whole train (or most of it ) in the screen.

So if you could build BETTER than what you have for 1400 I was right when I said you made up the signature, right?

That's when I still had the GTX 480 in with the 980X based machine. I can post some new screen shots with the GTX 580 if you like along with the other i7 (975X) build I'm running with the ATI 5870.

Just do a search for my screen shots in this forum Sherlock, :hehe: .
