Longer Traffic Stopper

Get over it
I need a longer traffic stopper, about 79 meters or 260 ft. I s there a way I can hook two together to make this happen?

Pop Pop, I was given permission by Mike (Boat) in 2019 to reskin and rework his traffic stoppers. Let me see if I can make one 79 meters long.

Christmas came early for me. Thank you, Santa, I mean Dave. That was very kind of you. Actually, I need it for your Ozark Valley Route, still one of my favorite routes.

Hey Dave, one of these days I'll learn the metric system, but time is running out, I'll be 80 in February. According to TRS19 79m is equal to 521ft (real scale). What I need is really two stoppers, 272ft and 327ft, both in real scale. I'll leave it up to you to figure out the meters. If this is a lot of work forget it, I can make do without them. Sorry about this.

WestSideRailways, you have to use traffic stoppers at RR Crossing or the traffic continues through the passing train. I use both the TRC System and Boat's System.

Nah. It's no trouble. Just FYI, the stoppers are measured from the Middle of the stopper to the end of the invisible rail. By the way, I turned 78 last November 9th. Gettin' old ain't for sissies is it!? If 79 meters is 521 ft then I'll be a monkey's uncle!

Well, then, you need two stoppers, one 40.5 meters and one 48.7 meters. I hope that's right. Been a while since I did some deep math! If I'm wrong, someone clue me in!

Dave, I think you are correct, but could you make them 42m and 50m just to be on the safe side? If you keep helping people you're going to lose your Crabby Old Geezer title. Thanks again. Oh yeah, about getting old. I keep telling my grandchildren and great grandsons that I'm getting older, I've been old. I measured the 79m stopper from end to end and not from the middle

WestSideRailways, download one of my routes and you'll see what I'm talking about. Look under author stouthm, people seem to like my Tillamook Route but you should be aware that it's a big route and you need a decent system to appreciate it. Good luck.

I don't think my figures are acurate. Is there any Math Whiz's out there? I don't want to do this and it be wrong.

Dave, me again. Isn't this fun? I just my measurements again and here's what I need. One stopper at 55 meters and one at 45 meters. If they don't fit it's my fault so go ahead and do your magic. Thanks.

Thank you Dave. They're a little too long but that's my fault. They will still work for what I need them for.
