Loading up issues

I put the CD in, usual start menus come up, auran full screen video then crash! not responding!:'( I've had this trouble before and last time I just replaced the 'mainassests.tdx' with an older copy that i made then it worked fine..apart from loosing a number of routes But what i can't understand is that i used trainz 2 days ago and was fine, haven't downloaded anything new, then all of a sudden it won't work. I have tried leaving it to see if it will start up again but no luck, endless reboots... etc. i don't want to load up the old mainassests file I had as I am half way through modeling a large route which I have put many hours work into, so i don't want to loose it whatever happends. Any halp please? Endless thanks to any segestions and help ​

Maybe a problem with your computer and that opening video. Have you tried putting the line
-intro=disable
in your Trainzobjects.txt file?

Hi 01making, you don't say what version of Trainz you're running, but looking at your ewb-site it would appear TRS2006.

Try going into your TRS2006 folder and deleting a file called "assets.tdx" (If you prefer, you can rename it to something like assets.old if you think you might ever need it again!) The assets.tdx file is actually a database of all the maps and content you have.

When you try to run Trainz, the file "assets.tdx" will be rebuilt. It will take a long time to start (with me, it takes nearly half an hour as I have a heck of a lot of downloaded content!)

If this fails, then I suspect you may have recently downloaded some "rogue" content. Can you remember your most recent downloads? - if so, use Content Manager to "Edit" and "Open For Editing" which will disable them while you try to run Trainz. If Trainz then runs properly, you know the problem lies with one of those files!

Anyone else got any other suggestions please?
