LMS lacking in assets

Is it just me or does the UK LMS lack assets in the DL? Compared to GWR and even LNER it is missing common items like platform canopies, engine sheds etc. Choice of station buildings seem to be limited to a single design which seems to me to be the same station in different sizes. Maybe Im wrong and maybe these assets are named for specific locations (Is by station name etc). Anyone got any views or thoughts on this? Maybe correct my perception?

There are quite a few LMS signalboxes of various designs and a good collection of signals.

Guess it all comes down to what 3D modellers want to build, for example there are loads of Southern/Southern Region station assets because at some point a keen builder has had a surge of output and the work ended up on the DLS. Just think how it might have been had TS2010/12 instead of the ECML had the WCML or Midland Main Line instead!

So far as rolling stock is concerned, the S&C 2009 pack contains a reasonable selection though of course this is payware (but pretty much essential for the UK scene).

Thanks Vern. I do understand what you mean. I already have S&C and I've been using a few of those assets. I dont normally do much LMS myself but I wanted a change from GWR. I could produce basic buildings myself once I know what they look like, but I was hoping there might be more available already.

This is reminiscent of the complaints in the model railway press many years ago that everything (almost) was GWR! The advice then was for modellers to get cracking and make models. This resulted in a spate of LMS ...

Of course, if anyone really wants a lack of models for a particular line, he/she must opt for the M&GN.

The S&C team are supposed to be releasing something new soon that might include some LMS items, gossip says it went to N3V for beta testing some time ago.

user 'edgarcraggs' made some LMS/MR items quite a while ago, which are still pretty good. I don't think they come up in a LMS search. I've extensive made use of them on my Chinley route.
