LMS and BR Standard Locos

Learning... slowly!
Hi,
I'm struggling to find many locos on the DLS or elsewhere that are LMS or ex-LMS, or BR Standard Classes.
I've got one Black 5 from the DLS, a 2MT 2-6-0 and a 2MT 2-6-2T from UKTrainSim and have managed to get the tenders but nothing else from the S&C 9Fs, and also have the LMS Princess Louise.

Can anyone point me in the direction of anything else that's available for free? I'd love things like a Jubilee, Duchess/Princess, 5MT, 8F, 9F etc

Thanks in advance.

Alex

Princess (by Billegulla) and 9F (by Lielestosbrat) are on the DLS, as are some older models of the duchess/coronation classes. Other BR locos on the DLS include a 4MT tank (by Alex23) and the Lickey Incline Banker (by Pcas1986).

Edit: Also there's a Super D (by CMBurgess)

Hi

I don't have a Mac so I don't know if any of this will work for you but try downloading the 9Fs from the DLS. They were originally made for TRS2004 so if you search the black pages of the DLS make sure that you check all the version boxes down to TRS2004. Search for user name lielestosbrat if 9F doesn't turn anything up. Some of them appear to have been updated to TC3 level earlier this year so hopefully they will work in TS Mac.

There is also the Hawes Junction route on the DLS which is a small section of the S&C route and was made by the same team as the S&C add on. This has some sessions for it which may pull in some locos and stock from the DLS.

I don't think that the S&C add on will work with TS Mac so for the others on your list I'm afraid that you're looking at payware if you want them. Gary Price has some top quality ex LMS models available here

There are some great steam loco's by 'skipper1945' on the DLS. A wide range available in both Great Western and BR liveries.

Scottish

I've got the LMS Princess Royal by Billegulla, and whilst I've got many of the parts for the 9Fs there are still loads and loads of dependencies missing.

Hawes Jct came with Trainz Mac, thankfully, so I have the 37s, 4Fs and coaches that are used in those sessions.

Searched lms_man, only 3 results all relating to a class 52 so I don't know if there's something wrong at my end. Is Gary Price a username or do I google him?

Also couldn't find the results for the Lickey Incline Banker.

Thanks for all the suggestions :)

Phil - just curious, could you say which route you're using to pose the above screenshots? Thanks.

@alexl102: The Lickey Banker is on the DLS under her nickname, Big Bertha. She is by pcas1986 (Paul Cass) and was commissioned by me since I had a very detailed diagram. :)

There is also a Lickey Incline route on the DLS, however it will have missing dependencies without TC3 or S&C, although these don't affect operation too much.

Hi Vern --

The first 6 (down to the Britannia with carriages on the bridge) are on the Port Ogden & Northern.

The last two (the 9F) are on RiversideRailRoadCo.

This is also Riverside:

Both routes are on the DLS. Just search "philskene" / routes.

I built Big Bertha for TS10 because that's what Kieran asked for. If I adapted it for TS09 would TS Mac users be able to use it?

ps. I've had S & C for ages and I'm sure I used it in TS09

TS: Mac users can use Bertha already as she is on the DLS and TS: Mac is more similar to TS2010. SnC cannot be used as the installer is a .exe file which Macs cannot open.

Kieran.

Edit: Paul, I thought you set Big Bertha to a trainz-build of 2.9, which is TS2009. If you didn't, a simple build number change should get it working in TS2009. But it should work already as TS: Mac is TS2010.

I thought Mac Trainz = TS10 ?

Would it still be possible to import S&C into it?

As you may recall, before SP1 N3V DLC downloaded as an 'exe' file, which isn't any good to OSX. As far as I can remember, if you tried to move the 'ja' file over, Mac Trainz wouldn't accept the serial number.

Oops missed captainkman's post, sorry.

Of course! :hehe: That's a bit sad as S & C is my favourite (purchased) route.

BB is set for build 3.3 (TS10 with no SP1).

I'm still trying to figure out how to get BB down onto my iPad Trainz - not that I've tried very hard as yet.

Sorry, it's not possible to port assets to the iPad version yet. :) Someone is trying though, but I don't think they've had any success yet.

Maybe if you update Big Bertha in the future, you might consider dropping the build to 2.9. I know some people who'd be willing to beta test just about anything they can get their hands on!

Gary Price's loco should work in TS:Mac as I think the locos are just in CDP files.

The OP might want to also check out some of the British payware at Paulz Trainz, as I believe his products are TS:Mac compatible too.

Skipper1945 is working on a Fowler 2P 4-4-0, thanks to a diagram I provided him. I recall him saying that he'll upload it when he's finished updating his existing locos with LOD (Level Of Detail) meshes.

Maybe he can convert it into the tank version too as I have a diagram for it also. :)

I have too many diagrams and not enough modelling expertise. :(

Kieran.
