Letting Bygones be Gone

Hey All

I've been a member of this Community since 2004, so I guess you could say I've seen it all or almost. There are those who have had issues in the past, but that was in the past although they seem to continue to be brought up. When I logged in today, I saw no less than 17 reported posts. Fortunately for me, they had all been dealt with before I got here, and thanks to my fellow Moderators who took care of that.

It's a new day now and we're moving forward, so can we all leave the past in the past and get along now?

Cheers

AJ

Yes boss, we'll all be quiescent and tame posters without any opinions to speak of other than those favourable to N3V.

I don't think that is what AJ_Fox is getting at at all. I agree with him, there are a number of posters who regularly bait others with old, hashed out subjects and accusations and they do it quite deliberately. It happens often and it's entirely unnecessary and detracts from the enjoyment of being here.

I have been here since 2001 and what doesn't change, stays the same.

These forum are a lot more convivial, than many of the third party forum.

Which cater for the other train games.

IKB.

I think the forums are fairly liberally moderated. I've posted on some threads that have been closed down but generally I've expected them to be, given the topics. Encouraging the 'cut and thrust' of debate is a good thing but there are several members who persistently post in a provocative, short tone.

Here in Scotland a sheriff is a court judge so i will regard the thread starte as a beningn judge (!). I think pfx is correct. Where a thread is perhaps on atocuching on a political or other similar thing that could be controversial there will always be thse that go too far and beyond reasonable criticism. I have seen rather deliberatly aggressive tones in such.

I for one am eternally glad that years ago after finding MTS I found Trainz by sheer chance, moved on (!) and have never looked back since TRS04. In times where erratic health holds me from getting out I have Trainz to keep my grey cells going and to ejoy. The concept and ease that a non-techy like me can have is tremendous. And even when I am out in my normal life I have Trainz to look forward to and work on my projects when back home.

Thankfully the vast majority of Trainzers are sensible and reasonable folk and the exceptions I trust will always remain scarce and not be encouraged! The Mods do a goodly job and the proof of a great hobby is the way it's followers not only enjoy it but show it when dealing with each other.

Now I must return to my railway build in a country next door to mine! (and wish it was nearer!)
