Where'd you get the UP coaches? I want to use them for early Amtrak.

The UP coaches are from the DLS under the author "diecastgalore". Tons of coaches, pretty good for excursions.

A steam excursion is never a bad thing! Nice shots.
Trying out grassy fields but without all the splines. Mixed feelings. I'm not very good at texturing, so, eh, you know. A bit of memorable non-SLRR power on the track, too.
Side note, I'm going to be away for the next week or so, and if I remember correctly will be gone until the 12th, or somewhere around there. My memory is pretty bad. Leaving tomorrow. So that does mean no updates about really anything until then, including beta updates (be honest, this ain't even a beta, more of an alpha...). Good to get some time away from this route, the tedious grass placement and whatnot is taking it's toll. It's boring me quite a bit, and killing my inspiration. Ah, well.
Stuff to come later.

Probably last thing you'll hear from me for about a week-ish (who knows at this point).
Idea came into my head a little bit ago, gave it some thought, said "nah I'm not gonna do it" and did it anyways.
Early WIP:
It seems I, too, will be in the crowd of skinning one of these fine little cranes. Still gotta do the doors and a few other bits 'n' bobs and weather it up, but it's something I actually plan to finish.
Yeah I haven't forgotten about the GP38-2 and C40-8W... just no motivation to finish them, especially the latter. Might finish the GP38-2 some day, but eh, who knows.
Oh, and if you're wondering about releasing this crane, it's a maybe. I have a strict no-DLS-under-any-circumstance policy, if I'm releasing a thing, it's on my site, no exceptions. But, afiak that doesn't happen very often for these items... So, who knows.

And we're back...
Did some great stuff over the past week but that's for a different place.
Now, however, the crane itself is basically done.
This is also finally been touched up and is fully complete, ready for release now:
(Westbrook will not use this tower, I promise you...)

Fresh out of the Silver Lines Shops, a newly refurbished set of Boxcabs takes on its first load in years throughout the majority of the electrified division on the Silver Lines, carrying a large autorack consist. This is one of the last sets to be rebuilt, and the first to receive experimental interior parts to begin upgrading the Boxcabs. Normally, two sets of Boxcabs would be required to pull this same consist.. now, just one.
One of these days, I will expand this route. Whenever the hell I finish all that stupid grass up.

Is this your first railway you made?
First fictional RR I've made? Silver Lines was technically the second, interestingly. A good friend of mine helped me come up with the "FBGM Railway" some years ago in some Minecraft modpack (More specifically a whole modpack about trains and industry... pretty great for a while). Of course, "FBGM" is not the most, eh, 'polite' acronym, so to speak (at least one person is going to figure out what it stands for.. hah). FBGM hasn't been put into Trainz (yet™) and we never made a paint scheme or, well, much of anything.
Silver Lines would be the first one made in Trainz, but overall the whole FBGM one was first.

Yep - SLRR Steam program is actually a thing. I have a few more steam locos planned, actually. Both excursion and in freight service back when steam was king.
That locomotive will actually be released on my site very soon. Be watchful in the Freeware area if this is something you want to download...

There is a few new pieces of content (including #2457!) and the whole site saw a full overhaul.

Just a little break from that electric route, as right now I don't have the willpower to build onto that right now. A little break from the catenary is never a bad thing...
All of this is early WIP.
All tracks are at a 3% grade upwards, including siding and bridge. Still working out what to do with the hillside there, don't wanna fill it up totally with trees this time. Somethin' new. ...Any ideas?
Just a little module type thing to experiment with. Main use is for the Silver Lines steamers (I'm now working towards a fifth one.. If only it was releasable..) as just somewhere to mess around with them. If I finish this thing, it'll probably be thrown up on my site. Or, for the hell of it, I may continue building it up. I don't know.

Yep, 3% all the way up. Why I always run DCC with steam...
Not a bad idea, actually. Some farms and a small town would certainly fill up most of the flat space below the tracks.
I've never even thought about doing a wind farm before, something to definitely think about for other areas.
A bit of dressing up later...
edit: I got gifs! Got 6 of em now, all my own footage.
They're pretty cool.
