NOOOOOOOOOO! Looks like it's time to make a Silver Lines RR police Military train. With a Jordan spread on the front, and an Air Raid Siren DD40AX.

Not quite in the budget :hehe:

ex-MILW SD40-2 leads a full coal train (with non-NS cars for once!).

I don't know if I've made any mention of it, but there are basic signals placed along the route. It's about the only kind of signaling I understand here.. but they're there.

Ok may a police train is not quite the right tool against spray attacks.
But perhaps some security man with dogs moving through the yards during the nights could keep spray people away who does not have such a nice hobby as we have :D

Your’s Uwe

PS: Just keep those spray people away – especially from former MILW stuff :o

Working on finishing up another 4 baseboards here. Kind of moving a little ways away from the mountains but still close. We'll reunite with them shortly. This new area of tracks meets up with the highway (the same one underneath the bridge at the current beginning of the route).

The EF4 is at that point I'd consider it 'nearly done', as well. Two stages left to make it fully 'done': minor details & the big question. Should be easy to guess said question, yeah? I'd think so. Either way... another 4 baseboards down.

Cheers,

I ended up doing some late-night-trainzing or early-morning trainzing, whatever you wanna call it. Either way, 2 AM to 5 AM Trainz time. Couldn't sleep for any reason. Oh, well.

Built 7 more baseboards though, so, you know, not too bad.

Alright, so, let's take a break expanding towards the coal mine and go backwards. Starting from baseboard 1 heading back, I've constructed and mostly finished up 7 baseboards. Taking a curve like on the map plan I posted recently, entering the first of two yards in the route! If we can finish this end of the route, then we can go straight forwards and not need to return here for a while.

Some of you may remember the last yard in one of my routes (Northborough Yard in the SLM) was a merged route from JR. This time, it's all going to be all-original. It'll be pretty good, I think. So far, we have 5 tracks of yard, 2 tracks of mainline, side by side.

Area isn't dressed up, but current look of the yard's tracks.

Fun Fact: Every single switch on the route is featured in this pic.

Just a suggestion, and i don't want you to correct it if you don't want to, but here's something another Trainzer once told me:

"The yard latter does not have to be something staggered like that." - Unknown

Can't remember who said it, but it's just some advice i'd like to pass on to you. Y'know, to make the route more prototypical.

This could just be me going on a realism ramble, but still, you get my point (i hope :hehe:)

The yard was built fairly quickly and without a lot of thought at the start. Thanks for the tips, guys. Did some dressing up.

Back of the loco shop I've added has no catenaries due to them being too tall for it. Diesel switchers'll have to move the electrics around. Still WIP, but going well.

Cheers,
SM

That yard looks amazing, Lego!

Thank you!

The catenaries in that yard... good grief. Quite a lot of splines.
Ah, well. Looking good so far. I personally love the railroad crossings at the locomotive repair shed. The texture and ground levels just fit in so well there...

Sometimes render distance sucks, eh? Friggin trees and terrain not loading because its slightly out of the distance...

Awesome, engine shed reminds me of the Tumbler Ridge one, wait wait wait… Imagine an SLRR GF6 or whatever the Tumbler ridge sub engines are called.

An SLRR GF6C... hmmm... that might actually be pretty cool. Only concern is its pantograph being too large or small for the catenaries I use..

I wanna say the guy making them is also making custom catenaries so that the GF6C pantographs sit under them perfectly. You'd still have to swap the catenaries out, but the route can be made to fit the GF6C.
