Yes yes yes...

I wish I would've updated to 10.9 when I had the chance. Frigger. I guess upgrading to 10.10 is the only chance I got now of ever getting anything new up and running.
I've never updated OS X before so I mean.. what happens? I know there's a Free Upgrade in app store.. but does it delete any files of any kind, or is there a risk of data loss? I suppose Googling this would work. Well.. we'll see. At least the file actually downloaded this time. That's a start I guess.

Dang it all, man.

Ah, finally. I couldn't access anything in Trainz the last two days for some reason. Not even default routes showed up. Strange.

Is it hard to believe the zone between where that shot I got of #4014 banking on the curve and that latest train yard was never completed? Just a few grass splines, track, and a few trees with minor texturing. Finally went back and finished it all up.

Second pic is my favourite out of this bunch..

Indeed, they are...

Ah, the joys of school work. Takes up all my Trainz time! Oh, well, I suppose that means I'm on top of things, so I've got that going for me.

Oh, also, I need some buildings for Northborough. Anyone know any good ones? Only thing I don't want is massively huge buildings - like, skyscrapers, I don't need that...

Ahh, of course. Downloading some of those as we speak...

More curve pics.

Lastly, I've done some more experimenting with some buildings I found in surveyor. First real picture of Northborough!

Trust me there are no floating M1b locomotives in this picture. What are you talkin' about?

Surveyor pic, but for a REAL first town, it's slowly coming along nicely. Lots more to do here, obviously!

Wow! That is some good weathering! Do you have any weathering tips for a beginning reskinner like me? If you want to see my attempt at weathering, Search MLW and there is an RS18 by me.

Ok. First off, i am a beginner too for reskining and weathering. I only have experience in GIMP, so that's what i will be talking about. To start, I usually first bring the opacity way down. I'm talking like 20.0 or less. This will be good for heavily weathered rolling stock for locomotives. Then select the 'Airbrush' tool, this will apply the paint lighter and make it look kinda dirty too. Then choose a brush. I like to use "Chalk 2' and 'Chalk 3' for heavy weathering. Brush over model lightly, then choose another brush (if needed) and repeat. For lightly weathered models, i'd only do one layer, with a different brush. You may want to bring opacity down even more! That's how i start. Then use the airbrush again on various different brushes for fine details.

***bad capitalization, i typed this on an iphone***

Ok thank you, I will find something random to work on.
That was a great guide! I was able to make a loco dusty!
I forgive your bad capitalization.

I see...
So with those great tips from judah, a test on how I could try some weathering. First attempt!

In addition, Northborough is coming along nicely.

The street in that 2nd pic is just dying to have some rails in it!

That street won't have any rails in it, however the street parallel to it (unpictured, to the right of that road) will have some once I throw down a new baseboard.
Speaking of baseboards, actually, before I add any more of those, I am gonna finish covering all grid stuff and Grazzy-ing up the route a bit more. Fun.

Playing other games lately, and an old friend has popped back up so we've been doing stuff.
Minecraft added name-changing, so I of course went in as silvermoon88_. Been waitin' for that for a long time.

Minor things today.

I can't wait to see the street running!

Threw down another baseboard. Needed to be done, really...

Also, building a parking lot now.

(defos not a locomotive floating on the top. trust me.)

Also, I haven't posted a shot of the size of this route in map mode. Shocking!

Comparatively, this is the size of the Silver Lines route.

(In terms of fixing that route^ up, I've gone backwards staring from consist 32 and have reached a bit father than consist 22. However sonsist 32-40 area still needs some dressing up. That big grey spot is a quarry that needs huge work...)

In the meantime I have done very little work on both routes. I have been downloading many many dependencies for American Intermodal. I finished downloading every single one last night... except for 1 third-party dep. ONE. Judging by numbers and using TKI (they say it's abandoned, no link) it is a weathered 45ft container. Anyone know where <kuid:334896:120008> is?

That whole time of course, listening to this. A lot. Number to far right is replays.

send help pls

Also, you can make a loco into a load by messing w/ the config, but you will need to have the bogeys separate. There was a thread about static locos/load locos somewhere.
