leaving for good

WOW, such sad news to read ….

Lorin just drop this link in my mail box, since I have been away from trainz and still have not gotten that sparkle back…

However, I am compelled to drop by and express my feelings --- I am someone that has suffered three cataracts operation and a retinal operation, I know the feeling being in the darkness … I do hope the doctors are wrong, and there is a solution to fix your eyesight… Perhaps, transplants which I have read can help give a person new eyes, etc …

You have been a kind friend, which allowed me to use your contents and modified it… I have enjoy your content in my routes, etc… Your skills and enthusiasm will be missed, but again, hopefully, it’s reversible condition.

Lastly, I hope you are being taken care of, by families and good friends… I sincerely hope the doctors are wrong … you take care and God bless you!!

Hi A3
Like Ishie, Lornky5 sent me an e-mail about this sad news.
My cousin has been blind for a couple of decades now, but he leads a relatively normal life. He even uses a computer with voice recognition programs and speech facilities.
Like others have suggested in this thread, Doctors can be wrong, even specialist. Many seem to forget the natural resilience of the human body.
I can't even begin to imagine the trauma you and your family are currently facing, all I can say is 'Keep your chin up my friend, and get every bit of professional help you can'.
Look after yourself
Pete.

Very sad and concerned after reading about your serious sight disease!!!!!!!!

Really I don't know what to tell you to cheer you up! Blindness is a handicap which cannot be measured and valued objectively by viewers, only blind people know how hard it can be.

My warmest sympathy and hopes of finding a solution.

Take care and please think we are pushing you up ahead from our minds.

I have very much enjoyed your contributions on the forums and your creations. I certainly do have a few of your assets. You are a valuable member here, and will be remembered as so.

Wish you the best for your future.

This is the best advice anybody can give, I pray also that your sight is restored and that you have many years of sight left.

Amen to that.
Alien words cannot really express feelings & concern adequately here.
You have many very thankful friends who if they could, would love to change this situation your in.
Please know that we are praying for a miracle, for you.

Alien 3 - thank you for your content. I will hope and pray for you that if, somehow, a miracle doesn't prevent what doctors say is inevitable, that at least you have the strength to get to grips with blindness.

Barn700's advice is sound and if you can acquire the voice recognition software skills before you completely lose your eyesight, why at least your old pals can still keep in touch!

You haven't told us what condition is robbing you of your sight - my guess is that it's diabetes so look after yourself well and please try to keep a Positive Attitude!

All the very best!

Ian
