layout problem

Since i have downloaded 4 trains from the sownload station and 3 new coloring schemes, i keep on coming back to windows with a little window pop up and it says- there has been a problem and then lists a lot of numbers and letters. on the right of the box is coninue and terminate. any help would be nice. also, i have found that some of the layouts included in the game have missing dependencies. please help.

P.S. how do you send content to the download station?

For which version of Trainz is this for as different versions have different ways of finding missing dependencies.

i have Trains 2006's full version and the layouts are highland valley, hawes junction, dersden to neurenburg, mudula city and wabldavle line.

And all those routes are missing dependencies? Those routes are builtin and if they are missing items then it's a faulty install.

This is probably also the reason for the instability - I've found it's usually caused by faulty third party content, and as bought TRS06 is actually really stable (contrary to many posts on here).

Have you applied the service pack (following the instructions to the letter)? Sometimes if the patch isn't installed correctly then you find you have problems, and similarly if it is installed correctly then you will find the game is improved (in the majority of cases).

I have not gotten a lette about the service pack and also i have never seen it or installed. do think its on the download station?

it wasn't here in Walmart so i need to buy from auran.

The service pack can downloaded free from Auran, but it must be installed on a fresh install of TRS2006. Basically, you need to erase all traces of TRS06's existence from your computer, including the files from the Program Files listings, then reinstall TRS, and download and install the service pack before opening TRS06 for the first time. If you start 06 before you install the service pack, the install will go wrong and it won't run the way it's supposed to.

mine did and it may have installed the service pack. thanks for the hints though.
oh. is there a way to delete or repair the layouts and put on new one from the download station without reinstalling the game cause it took me a while to install it do to my dad not wanting me to disable? i did however install the game with the anti virus thing on.

nope your trainz didnt come with sp 1

you might want to uninstall and then turn off your ant virus or any other programs running in the back ground off it sounds like a faulty install to me

Mine came with 1 DVD disk and no Service Pack as well. IF you are running build 2761 then see my previous post in this thread with the links on where to download the service pack.

Also it mentions in the links above to disable your antivirus during the installation process as it's a known issue to cause problems to the game.
