Why is it that everytime I place a LARS industry(protolars),I get that black screen that says missing assets.I click load map anyways and it loads OK.The only way to get rid of black screen is to remove the LARS industry.I want to use LARS but that black screen is irritatiing.

You have one (or more) missing dependencies. Some of these LARS industries seem to have huge numbers of dependencies, most of which are not on the DLS. Try using Trainzobjectz to identify the missing dependencies and then search for them on TPR. You may need to check the TPR forums (I seem to remember the product Creosote calls up an incorrect KUID and has to be edited).

I think you are missing one or more dependencies. Get those and also make sure you have no faulty items. If the black screen still pops-up then you have a more difficult problem.
Yesterday I downloaded the "LARS Mega Pak" from Trainz Pro Route. I didn't commit all of them but the ones I was interested in had some missing dependencies. But they were all on DLS. Oh, The "PL Warehouse" came up as Faulty . . . I found the syntax error in the CONFIG.TXT. There is a missing ("), but it was an easy fix.
I get the black screen . . . still . . . after spending 5 hours fixing or removing faulty assets on my route. When I look at my route in CMP, it shows as no missing dependencies or errors ( the RED " ! " is greyed out). But I still get the "black screen". Mine is in spanish (build 3337) even though it is for USA release . . . go figure. I can't seem to get rid of the "black screen pop-up" no matter what I do.
Anyone have any idea what more I can try?

The industry I'm using or trying to use rather,is the Intermodal one.It shows up as PL Intermodal in Surveyor.I will try out some of the suggestions and see what happens.I'm using TRS2004.Still trying to get it to work properly.Tried 2006 and even more stuff to figure out.I'd rather be "playing" but this Lars thing has got me stumped.Not everyone has that black screen come up so it must be solvable.

If not, download them.
If that doesn't work, see if any of the products require a dependency. It took me awhile, for example, to work out that a dependency of the Sherman tank product is the Sherman tank static object.

If you are using the PL Intermodal, consider as an alternative my LARS/ProtoLARS Industrail. It handles most of the containers of the one you have tried, and I can guarantee that you will not get the Black Screen of Death.

I tried to go to TPR's forum to look around there,but my name and password only works for downloads and for some reason won't work to get into their forum.Does anyone know an email address for someone there to fix this for me so I can further explore this LARS problem?I looked on their site and can't find where to send questions other than the forum which I can't get into.Also Phil,what is the kuid of your intermodal industry?Will this load cars while there sitting or do you have to push cars over it to get them to load?Thanks for all your suggestions.

Unfortunately there is only one fix for this. You'll need to register at our forums as well. The reason being is because the depot and the forum are on two totally different servers and two different databases.
