If you are thinking of buying I suggest you hold off until AMD produce their next GPU chip which should be out in a week or two. They have changed the way that memory is connected to the GPU which has been a traditional bottleneck. The most important thing for laptops is that the power requirement for the memory is only a third of the traditional method which means less heat etc which has always been a problem. nVidia are expected to have something similar in a year's time. So if TANE runs well on the new AMD GPUs then TANE on lap tops becomes feasible. Note TANE may still have some code that optimises performance on nVidia GPUs so this may not help.
