IIRC Scott aka landrvr did give permission on the old fourms, before they died, that all his none paywear could be common open source, I wil check with a few other traction fans about this but sure it to be true...

As to the person who decied to convert the Electroliner and than not pass it around thats just not cricket, but I do have a feeling that he in fact failed to port the electroliner from utc to trs and is just not telling us the whole truth. I tried to get it from utc to trs and I failed as well as another person who is a lot better at this stuff than I am.

So in a few simple words for the confused.... you mean Landrvr1 allows anyone to upload their reskins? That sounds peculiar. If thats true... than look out! I got some coming quickly!!!!

Landrvr has not allowed any reskins or any uploads to the dls station. In addition, you may not post links to copies of the files. All distribution of allowed models is to be by email only.

In addition, there are also a few models that have never been released except as beta and they are not to be distributed.

He said in his thread that there can be links to 3rd party file distribution sites(such as megaupload or rapidshare) as long as they arte not upload to any site,such as TPR's download depot...

Reading some of the past posts about my content has been both interesting and amusing. It's cool that people still have an interest, and I appreciate and understand the frustration of no longer being able to get the content. Therefore, I'd like to say this:

All of the content that I've created thus far can now be freely shared back and forth amongst Trainz fans. That's both the Payware and Freeware. Sharks, E7s, Zephyrs, etc etc.

The only thing I ask is that the content be exchanged via email / file sharing. Please do not upload to any sites (including the Download Station, if that's still possible). At some point in the near future I hope to add my old content to the Download Station myself.

You of course, you can do what you like, but I've seen Scott ticked off before, and it's still his content. I personally have adopted his admonishment to distribute by email file sharing and keep is personal.

If you can't be bothered to email the content, then why bother at all?

The he is contradicting himself,file sharing tends to lean towards file sharing sites....and its not uploaded to a site like the download station,or TPR's download depot,its simply a file sharing site..exactly what Scott says file sharing..although,I don't see where I am wrong because of the fact it does not say for one exactly what kinds of site we are reffering to,if its just trainz releated download site like the DLS or download depot and any other site in between or a "file sharing" site...

So no reskins until heard of otherwise. NEVER reskin without checking for permissions first

Read it that way and it'll make sense
1. exchange by email or filesharing
2. Do not upload to ANY site (how do you use rapidshare, megauploads etc? you UPLOAD)

I think landrvr1 makes it quite clear, and until it's been said otherwise such actions infringe on the creator's wishes.
 
So to clarify File Sharing is Peer to peer. using you host it, rapidshare, megauploads, etc is technically uploading it.

I personally think that if you are going to email a large file using one of them is OK if and only if the file is available to the person you are sending it to and comes offline after they have received it; (only because most email providers cap the upload size)

The interior on the first car is the cab version similar to the greenliner and the second car has an observation deck.
