Hi, if you have to use pictures on your web site like your home page's header picture, you have to do one of two things. When taking screen shots for these make sure "anti aliasing" is fully enabled in your video card's options or you will get these "zaggies" you have on the header picture.
Or if your video card can not do this satisfactorily, take a screen shot with the tracks and content on it as a very horizontal screen shot, thereby avoiding these "zaggies", if you know what I mean.
The other item I would like you to consider is this, only "spruik" (promote) your web site if you have really something substantial or special to show or to download. After all, that is what you would like to promote and to make your web site famous for. If you have "Mickey Mouse" content on it, people will not have a second look again.
Don't take my pointing out the above too harsh, this is meant to be a constructive criticism, after all everyone needs to start somewhere. Also have a look how other good looking web sites look and get a "sort of" similar look for your web site or web pages to make this professional looking. There are plenty of free good looking templates for web pages on the internet to be found, google for these and you will see for yourself.
Or if you really want to build your own web site yourself, again look at some good looking professional web sites and emulate the looks of these for your own. This is not too hard to do. You will get satisfaction out of doing so, you will learn proper HTML coding and will possible importing java applets, flash content etc. into your web pages for a really good looking web site. Also use a web site building/creating program that has an build in spell checker to avoid the mistakes of your first and redone second web site.
Isn't this what you really wanted in the first place?
Just my observations .
