Enough of taking up the USA pics thread!
Please note, if you are going to either tell me that I am making another useless thread please do not post here.
You are welcome to give your positive thoughts, but please do not be rude.
Anyway,
The Kentucky and Tennessee was originally formed in 2006 whilst on a vacation here when I became fascinated with the scenery and the need of fully connected rail service to this area.
Then I later became fascinated with the history of the Tennessee Central, and how it ended up.
So recently I started a layout called the Central Railroad of Tennessee, then changing it to the Kentucky and Tennessee.
This railroad runs from Hopkinsville Kentucky to Knoxville Tennessee all on former TC trackage. It splits off at Monterey to form the Oneida Subdivision running on recently laid N&E trackage and brand new KT trackage then over the old Oneida and Western Railroad from Jamestown to Oneida.
Between Monterey and Jamestown, the railroad splits again where the Monticello (Kentucky) Branch leaves the Oneida Subdivision.
As usuall I just had to write a story and name a president.
Sabastian Scott from my "The Sims 2" was named president with a board of Directors consisting of Harold Campbell, Dorian Kauker, Ray McClellan, Dr. Kennedy Cox, Sandy Bruty and Keith Huckstep.
This group oversees operation of the system.
In this thread I will continue the story of the KT revealing some secrets about it and some facts about the inspirational prototype.
I will also include some Google Earth spots where you acn view the real thing.
So climb aboard as we discover the endless posibilties of a rail line through the Cumberland Mountains.
