Should I upgrade my Trainz 2012 to SP1 and install the 3 Hotfixes, or should i just stay at the same build till a Hotfix 4 or SP2 comes out?
 
Upgrade it. Some people have complained, but its not that bad. 1 in 50 people have a problem.

If you have a fear that it might screw up, do a second install. Or back up your local folder.

I upgraded, I like it. Yes ther are a few things that I dont lie about it. But over all I am a happy camper.
 
Zelda, it is possible for multiple installations of Trainz to run side by side. Simply install Trainz a second time, only now you direct it to a second folder (example E:\TS12B). Important note, when you run the patcher and it asks where Trainz is installed, direct it to the TS12B folder. This way, if you find that SP1 is not for you, simple run the uninstaller in TS12B folder without affecting your main TS12.
 
That's another option.

Most of the complaints I have seen are from people who where expecting way more then what they got. They where expecting new features, fixes to age old problems, and other goodies. And what we got was some new interface, many bug fixes, a few new features, and other tweaks under the hood. But not what they where expecting.
 
The only error i had was the thumbnail issue. Im happy but if you have things without thumbnails, be prepared.
