A pair of rebuilt and DPU equipped SD40-2T's shove the tail end of this LA bound Z into the house of the setting sun.

You've got to stop posting real photos Claus, Trainz screenshots only please... ;)

Central Divide's new 0-10-0 banking loco, seen here just settling into the long grind up Big Hill, cut into an uphill freight ahead of the crummy and a string of empty flats and paired with one of the CD's ubiquitous oil tenders

The loco is a kit-bash of Ben Neal boiler and bogie which almost works - the drivers are just into the firebox, the cylinders seem a tad low and the whole thing is maybe a bit front heavy, but the wheelbase is about right and the general appearance is the sort of business-like chunky that I was after...

It's an example of standoff modelling: if you stand far enough off, it looks okay!!

EDIT: Oops, just noticed it still has No 3's headlight, now where on earth is that mapped? Edit 2 - found it!!

Andy ;)

You too Andy! Sim shots only.

Another pair of winners. The scenery, the motive power and the rolling stock all combine to make for a really appealing scene.

Love 'em!

Paul :)

It's 1995, and two B30-7 and one SD70MAC engines are sitting at the enginehouse at the subdivision point yard along the Dakota Subdivision, at Richmond, ND. This location is where the Richmond Branch begins. U33C #4002 leads a grain train past the yard, with an SD45, C40-8 and a B30-7 trailing. U33C #4002 is special, as this is one of it's final runs on the CD&N. In the coming years, it will be donated to the Illinois Railroad Museum under operable condition. Likewise the fate for the U36C #4014 (not shown), who had the privilege of joining the Museum of the American Railroad collection in Frisco, TX.

The train passes by the junction where the Richmond Branch splits from the Dakota Sub, serving a few coal mines in the area.

Here the train passes under some SD38-2M's working the coal mines here. It's odd, because they're normally based in northern Minnesota.

Here an empty TOFC train passes us with a B40-8W on the head end....

And our train passes it moments later.

Fast forward to 2022, and CD&N U36C #4014 and UP Big Boy #4014 run together on CD&N trackage rights. CD&N #4014 has been selected for this run for three reasons: 1, it's operable, 2, it has the same number, and 3, the CD&N wants one of their locomotives behind the Big Boy on their trackage (I actually don't have a UP excursion trainset, so a streamliner consist will do for now).

Thanks. Beautiful scenes coming from you, Andy :).

I never ask questions about someone's plan of a release of their projects, I find it extremely annoying, but, I will make a rare exception for once.

Do you plan on releasing this route somewhere down the road ?.

Best regards Claus

Holcott gardens need a lot of work on the foliage but it hasn't stopped a small celebration of the Platinum Jubilee on the seaside resort's green.
