Japan

As always, Keimei-dono, I cannot heap enough praise upon your modeling brilliance! These latest EMUs look absolutely brilliant! I cannot wait to get my computer back from the shop & reinstall TRS'09 SP4 so that I may bask in their magnificence, as well as all of your other grand offerings from that most fascinating land of the rising sun. Well done, sir. Very well done indeed.

And now, if I may be so presumptuous as to put forward a request of my own, I wonder if you may deign worthy to consider breathing digital life into one of my personal favorites of Japanese steam: the legendary Class C51 4-6-2 Pacific.

JGR_C51_Steam_Locomotive.jpg

I have always considered these to be among the most beautiful steam locomotives ever to grace Nippon metals, and the design does not look too dissimilar to your existing C55 models. Besides, you have mentioned in the past that you generally prefer to model less frequently seen classes of Japanese steam.

I pray that you will deign this humble request a place somewhere on your to-do list.

I also have a humble request of our other great master modeller of Japanese rolling stock, Hirochi-dono. I have recently been impressed by your fantastic replication of the famous Banetsu Monogatari trainset, and cannot wait to see these coached paired with Keimei-dono's C55s. Truly, sir, you have my highest respects.

And considering Keimei-dono's admitted disinterest in modeling sleeping car trainsets, I wonder if you would consider taking on the task of recreating Japan's finest luxury sleeping car service: the Cassiopeia.

Ideally, it would be grand if you were able to model this grand express inside & out, but of course I would not ask such a miracle, even of such a superlative master of the digital arts as yourself.

My final imposition upon both of you beneficent individuals is rather unusual, as it seems to have entered the realm of mere rumor and legend, at least on this side of the Pacific: the Orient Express '88.

I must admit, as grand as it would be to see this unique set of rolling stock recreated in TRS, I must confess that I would be satisfied to merely hear the story behind this train. I have found extremely little information regarding this train available on this side of the Pacific, and only a scattered few photograghs & Youtube videos to confirm its existence. If anyone could enlighten me as to the tale of how the world's most famous train gained a Japanese doppelganger, and what has become of it now, I would be happily satisfied. If one of our modeling masters were to consider taking on the project of recreating this train, I would be absolutely over the moon.

Hi all. Here is my new stuff. JR 321系(kei) 3ft6in EMUs.

Keimei, you have done it again. Looks like im waiting for somthing like this for a while. Do u want an engine sound for this? I have that same type of train, but in a different train simulator.

Oh yes:) Im looking for the sound of inverter VVVF (variable voltage variable frequency) drives. Can you make it the Trainz asset?

And now, if I may be so presumptuous as to put forward a request of my own, I wonder if you may deign worthy to consider breathing digital life into one of my personal favorites of Japanese steam: the legendary Class C51 4-6-2 Pacific.

I think C51 is the most beautiful Pacific in Japan:). Im ready to make C51 steam engine, but starting not yet...

I plan to work on the new project (concerning 'call for routes'). I gona mainly make routes rather than trains, and trains would match with the new route. (BTW I dont like electric loco because they have driven the steam engines away:mop:)

Here is the question for all. Which do you like...?

Steam locos (D51 C51 etc)
or
the Shinkansen (and commuter trains)

Thanks.

Hey all,

to answer Keimei's question,
i like steam locos too but in general, i like electric ones more.
Especially EMU's like the Shinkansen (300, 700, N700, 800, E5 and E6)
Sorry Keimei :P
But i think everyone has different likes and dislikes^^

Yep, I've made MANY engine sounds for ALL Trainz versions. Do u want the enginesound to release on my site, or you can update your content (w/my engine sound) on the DLS?

Also, I will also like the shinkashen trains!! I've seen them on a YouTube video of the intro of a Japanesse Wii Game called "Danshe De GO! Sanyo Shinkasen" (correct me if the title is wrong).

Hi all. I love Shinkansen as much as the steam engine. What should star in the next project? That is the question:)

Would you please upload your sound onto DLS? I like to update my contents (rewriting config.sys).
"Danshe De GO! Sanyo Shinkasen" -> ""Densha De GO! Sanyo Shinkansen"

I made a video of commuter trains(starring JR225+321)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13oz53A5Ba0

and, west-JR 225 series on DLS.

Doyng!! Good job! I'll have that engine sound straight away. PS. it's config.TXT not config.sys . Also, where u get the catanary? Was it part of u content? If so, what's u KUID Number (I think it might be on the DLS).

Brilliant work as always, Keimei-dono. Of course, I would have expected nothing less.

As to what project we think you should start next, I believe Hirochi-dono has us satisfied for the moment for the Shinkansen, so I would have to cast my vote for more magnificent Japanese steam.

Hopefully, I'm not jinxing myself, but I've started trackwork on the Yamanote line :)

At the moment, trackage runs from Harajuku to the southern entrance into Shinjuku. Had a minor setback due to a power outage, but I've gained more progress. I'm surprised the track work has gone this far so quick. I only started about an hour or so ago.

I started this mainly because I have all of the Japanese EMUs downloaded, but there are no decent routes to run. I will post screenies of the trackwork ASAP.

EDIT: I'm not sure if I will go the entire loop, thats a LOT. I'll stop when my PC starts lagging :)

Harujuku Station

Yoyogi 'Approach'(because I dont know what else to call it lol)

isaacg_20110923_0002.jpg

Yoyogi, the Yamanote seems to split off here, one going into Yoyogi station, and the other dipping down, crossing over the street(at grade-level), and continuing on to Shinjuku.

Yoyogi Station

Yoyogi(Northwards) and Shinjuku(South) Stations. They seem to be very close together.

I can't wait to detail the route! I think I'm going to need to dip into gMax a lot. Especially for the different station objects(specifically the roofs)

Isaacg, if u can't like model like TOO many models (like how I was when I'd made the LACMTA Blue Line for TC), try using some of keimei's objects (it worked with me though).

Keimei, good news. My engine sound is completed just last night. It's gonna upload to the DLS Within a day or 2.

Definitely! I was just talking about modeling key lineside buildings, as well as station pieces. Like roofs. I know that Cornelia had Japanese station pieces. Unfortunately, she probably doesn't intend on releasing them, or maybe they don't even exist anymore? They were great, and remembering them inspires me to go ahead and make something like them.

Just don't count on any of this ever coming to fruition though. I've got lots of college classes, and I may be working on two degrees(MAYBE) soon.

So this has turned from a pastime hobby to a free-time activity. ;)

Yea, yea, yea

Keimei, my content has uploaded to the DLS. Within a few hours, keep an eye on this KUID. <KUID:274806:100058>

where can I change the drivers because the KDB ones look better than the buildt in:confused:

Well, basicly you'll need to add a rule in surveyor called "QuickDrive", and start the route in driver, and when the page pops u, go to the tab drivers, and add/remove the drivers, and select the locomotive for the driver to drive in.

Thanks mikey. Ive downloaded your sound. That is what I wanted. I will update my contents by now.

Isaacg, good start. How did you do with elevated tracks? using any bridge?

Cheers!
